Jessie is out sick this week, so I am filling in on the weekly review front. There were a bunch of reviews this week, so let's jump in:  

The guys at Overclock3D took a look at our new Professional Series™ Gold AX1200 power supply, and gave us their coveted "Best In Class" award for Power Supplies rated from 1000-1500w:

"Just when it looked like the rest of the PSU market was finally catching up to the highly acclaimed HX series, Corsair have come out with yet another PSU range that moves the bar even further out of their sight. Without any shadow of doubt the AX1200 is by far the best PSU that has come through OC3D's labs to date, and the very fact that Corsair designed the unit from the ground up makes that achievement a whole lot more meaningful."    

Hexus reviewed our newest SSD, the Force Series™ F120 solid-state drive featuring the SandForce SF-1200 controller, and they gave it their "Hexus Performance" award:

"In view of the performance exhibited by the F120, especially in scenarios with heavy loading, the Corsair Force F120 is recommended to the power user who doesn't mind paying a little extra for top-notch performance."  

Over in Denmark the guys at iTrends reviewed the new Obsidian Series™ 700D full-tower case, and not only gave it a score of 100 out of 100 but they also awaded us thier "Editors Choice" (Please excuse the Google translation):

"Corsair Obsidian Series™ 700D prefer our iTrends character scale up to maximum 100 points for a cabinet to put themselves in the absolute class and the first designed for extreme users a solution that makes it easy to build the extremes without compromising on environment." 

In Italy we received yet another 700D review by the guys at Nexthardware, where they gave us five out of five stars (again this is a Google translation):

"Obsidian 700d can safely enter the top of a hypothetical ranking of the best cabinets for computers on the market. Material quality is simply excellent, as well as internal accessibility, maybe at best. We are still facing a great holiday, so compared to other products, some conclusions may seem obvious."

I'll be headed up to beautiful Portland, OR for PDXLAN tomorrow morning. This will be our first in-person appearance that we've had at a LAN event in quite some time and I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone at the event. And when I say interacting, I mean headshotting. With a knife.

I only have a couple reviews to share with you this week. First is a review of the Obsidian Series™ 700D full-tower case at Tech Radar.

"For serious system builders looking to house their high-end systems in a perfectly functioning, subtle environment, it doesn't get much better than the 700D."  

We'll follow up those kind words with this TechGage review of the Nova Series V128 SSD. We'll take an Editor's Choice award to-go.

"These drives are so good to the point that a computer user would be unable to notice the difference in everyday tasks. Unless searching for the very best we can easily recommend the Corsair Nova Series SSDs, as long as they are found at a lower price than SandForce offerings such as the Corsair Force Series SSDs."

Straight to the reviews today.

"Go big or go home" is the saying. We took it to heart with the Professional Series™ Gold AX1200 PSU and the guys at Overclockers Club expressed their appreciation for our efforts by giving us their coveted Editor's Choice award.

"The Corsair AX1200 power supply is one of the most efficient power supplies I have tested for OCC, but it gets better. The DC output voltage load regulation was almost perfect with all the rails maintaining their voltage within a 20mV window from zero to full load, whilst keeping ripple/noise levels well within the permitted levels."  

The Corsair Force Series™ F120 solid-state drive got the once over at PureOC, and they found the F120 maintains solid performance while offering better capacity over the competition. They liked it so much, they gave the F120 their Editor's Choice award.

"This SandForce-based Force [Series] F120 SSD has a considerably larger capacity than the competition but only a very small price premium. Corsair has decided to break away from the pack by trading off some data over-provisioning in exchange for larger data capacity. Smart move? You better believe it."  

I need to mention one more thing before I go enjoy this amazing weather. PDXLAN is a 500 person LAN event in Portland, OR. I'll be up there next weekend to check it out, play against some people in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (and probably get embarrassed), and host our system building competition. How about that Hydro Series™ H70 CPU cooler? Pretty exciting stuff, if you ask me. In case you missed it, Maximum PC had the very first review of the H70 and they gave it their iconic "Kick Ass!" award.

"As they did on the old test bed, the H50 and Hyper 212+ performed within a few degrees of each other, keeping the CPU at full burn nearly 32 degrees cooler than the stock heatsink. The H70 brought full-burn temps down to 51 C—five to six degrees cooler than either."

  Over at [H]ardOCP, Kyle was so excited about the Hydro Series™ H70 CPU Cooler they posted not only an unboxing article, but also posted their initial impressions in an installation article. Their full review should be up shortly, but until then, here's their first impression:

"The H70 hoses are the same length as the H50 from what I can tell with one big difference. The H70 hoses swivel at the water block. This of course is going tomake a lot of installations easier without a doubt. So far the H70 is getting the thumbs up from us."  

I'll wrap this up with another excellent review of our Professional Series™ Gold AX1200 PSU at Hardware Heaven where we received both their Performance and Gold awards.    

"There was nothing of note to fault; even the selection of bundled cables is perfect. High quality components are used throughout, even down to internal wiring which is cut to exact fits and the design maximises airflow and cooling performance to the point where we can physically notice the improved airflow with cooler exhaust than other models."
