In August of 2006, Corsair entered the power supply market with 2 now legendary PSUs — the HX520 and HX620. I won’t say we entered the market with a bang or with a splash as those are two sounds one should never associate with PSUs.

Corsair wins 2011 Bit-Tech, Bit-gamer and Custom PC awards

Customers have made Corsair their top choice in three major categories for the 2011 Bit-tech, Bit-gamer and Custom PC awards, awarding us Best Memory Manufacturer (for the third year in a row), Best PSU Manufacturer (continuing our five-year winning streak), and the Overclocking & Cooling Award. Of the latter, Bit-tech writes: "Corsair's new range of CPU coolers, especially its pre-filled water-cooling loops, has been especially popular."

How-to Test Your Corsair Power Supply

Testing our power supply without the use of your motherboard is generally pretty simple. Below we will show you how to test all our PSU's.

To start off you will need the following:

  1. Corsair power supply
  2. Power cord
  3. ATX 20-24 pin PSU connector and 4 Pin Peripheral Connector
  4. Paperclip
  5. One or more case fans
  6. 2/3 pin case fan connector to Molex adapter if needed
