Corsair Force Series 3 SSDs: The PCMark Vantage Advantage!

We recently posted some amazing benchmarks put up by our newest SSDs, the Force Series™ 3 120GB and 240GB solid-state drives. Here’s the original blog post for Corsair Force Series 3 SSDs are Now with Us.

F3 240

Further testing has yielded more awesome benchmark results. One frequently used test by enthusiasts is PCMark® Vantage from Futuremark®. According to Futuremark, “A PCMark score is a measure of your computer’s performance across a variety of common tasks such as viewing and editing photos, video, music and other media, gaming, communications, productivity and security.“

Many consider this benchmark to be a great representation of “real world” usage. And, real world usage is very important, right? The Hard Drive Suite score, or HDD Suite score circled in red below in each benchmark picture, that shows the SSD specific performance is absolutely off the charts for a single drive. Rest assured that in your daily usage, you will have no drive bottlenecks using these SSDs!

Again, as with other benchmarks using older generation SSDs, you’d need two or more SSDs in RAID-0 to even come close to these scores where we used a single Force Series 3 SSD. So mate your new motherboard using the current Intel® P67, H67, or Z68 chipset based (For P67 and H67 rev.B3) to a Corsair Force Series 3 SSD, and get blistering drive performance!

I agree - I've been looking for the 60 GB for a RAID 0 - is Corsair officially abandoning the 60 GB? If so, I'll move on.

Dear Corsair. doesn't it make you curious, that most of the posts on this topic of Force Series 3 SSDs are WHERE IS THE 60GB? WHERE IS THE 60GB? WHERE IS THE 60GB? It really generates a lot of ill will when you say you are going to release something, and then don't. Oddly enough, people don't like being lied to. I guess it's time to keep looking and move on to another SSD manufacturer. In the future, just don't lie to people, it's not hard.
