By Mike Clements, on December 8th, 2011In our first two installments of the Intel Sandy Bridge build logs, I documented the initial build of a workstation and then we did some benchmarking to document the performance. Since that time the machine has undergone an amazing metamorphosis into an all out gaming rig. With the aid of my assistant below, I made some substantial changes to the original build.

Corsair Workstation Extreme Build Log: Chapter 2
By Mike Clements, on October 20th, 2011I began this build log thinking of it as more of a pure work station. Of course, it has the guts to be an exceptional gaming machine also. So, I thought it would be fun to see how it stacks up against my last gaming build log, Yellowbeard's Revenge.
Yellowbeard's Revenge (below left) was built around an X58 based motherboard using an Intel® Core™ i7 950 CPU, and a Graphite Series™ 600T case. This workstation (below right) is built using a Z68 based motherboard and a Core i7 2600K CPU. Due to the amount of HDs and other factors, I chose the Obsidian Series® 800D case for the workstation.

Corsair Workstation Extreme Build Log: Chapter 1

This build log is certainly no exception and may well be the most fun rig I have built since I’ve been employed here at Corsair. I built it to be a strong workstation, but I expect my testing to show that it will be excellent for gaming and multimedia also.

By Jeff Checchi, on July 29th, 2011
The Hydro Series™ H100 is the new top of the line all enclosed water cooling CPU coolers from Corsair. The H100 is similar to other Hydro Series CPU coolers from Corsair with a few exceptions, the main one being that the H100 uses a longer 240mm radiator. Luckily all of Corsairs PC cases will support the H100 and this blog will serve to illustrate the process. We will be installing it in our Obsidian Series™ 800D full-tower case.
