Corsair Link Lighting Node

By Jeff Checchi posted May 02nd 2013

The Corsair Link Lighting Node is a component that comes with our Corsair Link Cooling and Lighting Kit, but many people do not know that can be used independently, without other Corsair Link components. The Lighting Node offers quick and easy lighting control for your system, and comes with everything you need to light up the inside of your case in a color of your choice. If you want to have more advanced functionality and control over the Lighting Node, there are some ways of linking it up with other hardware components, but first let's talk about the stand alone functionality of the Corsair Link Lighting Node.

Corsair Link V2 Features and Functionality

By Jeff Checchi posted Feb 08th 2013

Corsair Link has recently been updated to version 2, and what this means for users is that usability, compatibility and general functionality have all been greatly improved. The update coincides with two new product lines that have recently been updated to include Corsair Link support, right out of the box. These two product lines are the new AXi series PSUs, and the Hydro Series H100i and H80i CPU coolers. These "i" (intelligent) devices do not require any extra hardware to be purchased in order to utilize the Corsair Link V2 software — support for Corsair Link is built in. These both simplify the setup of Corsair Link, and lower the barrier of entry for people wanting to take advantage of the system monitoring and control that Corsair Link can provide.

Using Link with a Corsair AXi Digital Power Supply

By Jonny Gerow posted Dec 12th 2012

The Corsair AXi Series PSUs have a lot of premium features. They use a digital signal processor for better performance, they're fully modular, and have a zero RPM fan mode at low loads. But one of the coolest things about the AXi power supplies, is their compatibility with the new Corsair Link software. Today, we take a look at the Corsair Link 2 software, or just "Link" for short, and more specifically how it gives you the ability to monitor AC input, DC output, the temperature and the fan speed of an AXi power supply.

The first thing I want to do is open up the "Graph" tab and set what I want to monitor in the "Config Panel" of this tab...

Steam to Go and a Large USB Flash Drive

By Mike Clements posted Nov 27th 2012

With the holiday season approaching, I started thinking about the fact that I will soon become a Voyager as I go to visit family and friends. This reminded that I needed to plan ahead a bit if I intended to be a Survivor on my journeys.

In the past, before I had a gaming capable laptop, I remember being marooned at a relatives house with nothing to do while people slept off their holiday meals. I also remember thinking that it sure would be nice to have access to a computer and to my Steam account and be able to play my games. If you have a nice large flash drive, like a Flash Survivor® Stealth USB 3.0 or Flash Voyager® GT USB 3.0 then you have a solution that will fit into your shirt pocket!

Enabling Hardware Playback Mode on the Corsair Vengeance M90 Performance MMO and RTS Laser Gaming Mouse

By Robert Pearce posted Oct 19th 2012

Enabling Hardware Playback Mode on the Corsair Vengeance M90 Performance MMO and RTS Laser Gaming Mouse

If you’ve got an M90 you may have noticed that your profiles don’t work in some games. I explain why and show you how to use “Hardware Playback” on your Corsair Vengeance M90 Performance MMO and RTS Laser Gaming Mouse.

In an effort to prevent cheating most games today are designed to ignore input from third party software applications. This is not a bad thing as I’m sure you’ll all agree as most of those external programs are designed to help people cheat in game (bots, etc.). I’m sure most everyone has experienced this at one time or another. My personal favorite was getting shot out of my helicopter while capping a base in BF3 by a tank from across the map.

SMITE with the Vengeance M90 Laser Gaming Mouse

By Robert Pearce posted Aug 29th 2012

I was recently at QUAKECON 2012 in Dallas and while I was there I noticed a lot of people playing a new MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) called SMITE. So I decided to get my very own Beta Key and give it a try. Gameplay in SMITE is challenging, fast paced, and a lot of fun!  I also found that, while they’ve done a great job laying out the keyboard, your gameplay can be greatly enhanced with the creation of a few simple macros.  The perfect venue to show off some of the capabilities of the Vengeance M90 Laser Gaming Mouse!  ;-)

Corsair and TigerDirect Auction to Benefit the National MS Society

By Mike Clements posted Apr 27th 2012

This all started over lunch one day several months back when I was asked by Corsair etail sales account manager, Josh Kreitzer, to join him at lunch with TigerDirect account manager, Orlando Pedrera. During our conversation, we realized that we all had something in common — bicycles. Josh and Orlando also mentioned that they were both avid cyclists and that they were heavily involved in working with the Team Bacardi cycling team raising money to donate to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society via an April charity bicycle ride.
