Corsair Weekly Product Review Round-Up
By Jessie Lawrence posted Dec 04th 2009
Well, the first week of December has come and gone. How is everyone doing with their holiday shopping? I’m nearly done, and I have spent ZERO time in actual stores. Man, I love the internet.

Our first review this week is by our friends at [H]ardOCP. They had a chance to review the Corsair TX950W Power Supply and awarded it their Editor’s Choice:
“Previously, we saw the HX850W utilize the same platform as this unit to great effect and as such we expected great things from this unit. Largely, this turned out to be the case. The TX950W had the same excellent voltage regulation, efficiency, and similar noise profile as the high end HX850W all while being 100W greater in capacity.”

The guys at Tech Power Up! were the latest to review the Corsair Obsidian Series™ 800D full-tower case and they awarded it their Editor’s Choice award:
“Corsair has really done a great job with their first chassis. They have invested a lot of work and thought into the design and look of the chassis. Instead of going with elaborate looks, the Obsidian 800D goes for the understated look with clean lines and functionality on the outside. In the interior, they have managed to take advantage of the large size and divided it into thermal chambers.”
Finally, if you’re shopping for that special overclocker in your life, Pocket-lint.com (great name!) has their 10 perfect Christmas presents for PC gamers and it includes the Corsair Cooling™ Hydro Series H50 High-Performance CPU Cooler:
“One excellent solution that’s recently got a lot cheaper to get hold of is watercooler systems to keep your CPU temperature down. The added bonus is that they’re a darn site quieter than the less efficient air cool fan systems too. Probably the best budget option is the Corsair H50-1 which delivers great performance at just under £70.”
That’s it for me this week. Have a great weekend!
