AirGuide is a patented technology developed by CORSAIR to improve the functionality of PC fans by concentrating the airflow coming out of the fan for improved cooling performance.

Fans without AirGuide can disperse airflow in a non-organized pattern when it passes through the stator vanes on the back of the fan. Air can become disturbed and move in a formation resembling a large cone instead of a horizontal pattern. This reduces cooling performance as the airflow isn’t targeting the desired components that are in the path of the fan’s airflow.
AirGuide is a patented fan design developed by CORSAIR that uses sculpted stator vanes to keep air moving on a straight path longer as it exits a fan instead of dispersing like a puff of smoke into the case. By keeping the cool air on a straight path longer it’s easier for the air to reach the components it’s trying to cool, increasing cooling performance and helping to keep air moving from intake to exhaust throughout the chassis.

Concentrating the airflow into a tighter area also improves cooling when a fan is pushing air through a dense radiator, which is why all of our All-In-One liquid CPU coolers (AIOs) feature CORSAIR RX or RS fans, which both feature AirGuide technology. It should be noted the iCUE LINK LX fans also feature AirGuide.
AirGuide consists of angled stator vanes, which are on the back of the fan to guide air as it passes through. These special stator vanes exist on iCUE LINK LX, RX fans and RS PWM fans, and CORSAIR uses nine anti-vortex stator vanes to focus the airflow cone. The fan blades also feature an optimized shape, size, and edge curvature to ensure maximum airflow efficiency. The fan housing itself is also designed to hold the largest possible blade radius for maximum airflow.
AirGuide fans offer great static pressure for use with a radiator and are also great case fans as well due to the concentrated pattern of airflow they generate. AirGuide fans are offered with either simple motherboard PWM control with the RS lineup or with iCUE LINK connectivity for RX and LX fans.
