At COMPUTEX 2025, we announced the HXi SHIFT series of PSUs. In addition to side-mounted connections and a Cybenetics Platinum efficiency rating, the HXi SHIFT power supplies feature an integrated iCUE LINK System Hub. But what is iCUE LINK?
The short answer is that the CORSAIR iCUE LINK Smart Component Ecosystem significantly reduces the number of cables in your system while simplifying the system-building process. The iCUE LINK System hub serves as the center of it all, essentially the brain of the system, as all iCUE LINK devices must connect to the hub to control either the iCUE LINK device’s performance or lighting via iCUE software.
Each iCUE LINK component features a built-in microcontroller that communicates with the main iCUE LINK System Hub to ensure that everything works together in unison.
How Many iCUE LINK Devices Can You Connect to the HXi SHIFT iCUE LINK System Hub?
You can connect up to 24 devices to the integrated System Hub, despite it being built into the PSU. There's no limitation; you can use it just like a standalone iCUE LINK system hub.
The integrated iCUE LINK System Hub is located on the rear-side of the HXi SHIFT PSUs, just around the corner from the power cables.
One iCUE LINK System Hub is sufficient for most PC setups. The example below shows a PC build with 14 devices. If you wish to integrate more iCUE LINK devices and have an HXi SHIFT PSU, there's no need for an additional iCUE LINK system hub. You can manage all the iCUE LINK devices through the HXi SHIFT iCUE LINK hub, which simplifies cable management considerably.
The iCUE LINK ecosystem encompasses a wide variety of PC components, such as fans, AIO coolers, and custom cooling components, with more coming down the pipe in the future. Each of these iCUE LINK devices can be connected in a chain of components using only a single cable. The iCUE LINK System Hub has two channels which each support up to 12 devices for a total of 24 devices.
Basically, if you're familiar with the usual standalone iCUE LINK System Hub, the System Hub in the HXi SHIFT functions identically.
