Of the two, you could say that the Intel Arc A750 model is the value trim, with same architecture, but fewer shader units, and half the VRAM by default. But don’t let that fool you because it is more than capable of handling 1080p gaming at decent settings, at a very competitive price.

That said, it tends to struggle a bit with games that are more GPU-intensive, especially when you increase in-game graphics setting, like resolutions. For what it’s worth, its performance is generally comparable to mid-range offerings from competitors, so it’s still a solid choice for budget-conscious gamers who prioritize cost over cutting-edge performance.

Going back at the spec table above, both models have the same official 225W TBP (total board power) from Intel. The A770, being the beefier option, usually needs a bit more juice, with a recommended power supply of around 550 watts. It can really crank up to 250+W when you’re pushing your PC hard. On the flip side, the A750 has a more modest power consumption profile, hanging around ~200W, but it can still hit about ~230W when it’s fully loaded. You could get away with a 550W power supply for both cards, but we’d suggest going for a 650W or higher just to play it safe.

Even though Intel ARC GPUs have been around for a bit, it’s good to know they’re out there for those of us watching our budget - best is not to take them for granted.

The initial pricing has shifted since launch, placing the A750 in a price range of approximately $150 to $220 in many markets. Meanwhile, the A770 is priced between $280 and $370. This makes the A750 a more appealing option for those focused on maximizing frames per dollar, especially if budget is a primary concern.

Also, driver maturity has improved and helped DirectX 12/Vulkan titles, but occasional quirks remain for older DirectX 9/11 games, so your specific game list matters more than raw spec sheets. If you stream or produce content, both cards benefit from AV1 hardware encode - a true advantage for streamers who want better quality at lower bitrates.
