Last updated:

The XENEON EDGE isn't just a game changer for PC enthusiasts, streamers, and content creators - it's a great companion to have even for just casual browsing and productivity. The EDGE is versatile for any use case. Some examples:

  • Monitor temperatures + CPU/GPU utilization of your system
  • Media control to adjust your music or video's volume on-the-fly, or skip/rewind between tracks
  • Secondary monitor in case you need to have another simultaneous window open, such as emails, Twitch chat, or casually watch a video whilst multitasking

Configuration

First things first, you'll want to figure out where you're going to have your XENEON EDGE configured. Our go-to configurations:

XENEON_EDGE_01_Vertical-Chat_STREAMER

Mounted to the Platfrom:4/6 Desks' railing.

XENEON_EDGE_07_Touch-Wide_ARTIST

With its included stand, casually using the XENEON EDGE as a desktop touchscreen monitor.

XENEON_EDGE_28_Inside

Mounted to the 360mm fan/radiator mount adjacent to the motherboard tray.

Connection

The XENEON EDGE includes two cables for connection to the PC:

  • USB-C
  • HDMI to DisplayPort

If your system has a Thunderbolt port, you have the option to use the EDGE strictly through USB-C for both power and display. Otherwise, you'll connect the XENEON EDGE via both of its included cables - the HDMI (XENEON EDGE) to DisplayPort (PC) for display signal, and USB-C for power.

iCUE Setup

Once your XENEON EDGE is connected, it will auto-detect in iCUE. The respective module to customize your EDGE will then be downloaded and installed. iCUE may or may not prompt a restart once the installation is complete. When complete, you'll receive a prompt to set up your EDGE. From here, the setup is straightforward - just follow the on-screen instructions and prompts.

When the screen below pops up, you'll want to press "Enter" on your keyboard until the "Tap this screen with a single finger to identify it as the touchscreen" prompt is on your XENEON EDGE. Once this prompt is on your EDGE, you'll simply tap your finger on the touchscreen to proceed. This ensures that the EDGE will be detected as a touchscreen and not a trackpad.

Afterwards, finishing the setup is super quick. If you have any issues with the EDGE's touchscreen, consider turning off gestures in Windows' settings via Start > Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > Touch > Disable Three/Four-finger touch gestures.

Once the initial setup is complete, you may now customize your XENEON EDGE to your preference with various widgets! Simply click the "+" symbol and then your widget of choice. You may customize the widgets' sizing, styling, and more depending on the widget in question.

If you'd like to simply use your XENEON EDGE as a secondary monitor, then you may toggle iCUE's control over it with via the button circled below. This will make the widgets disappear so the EDGE can be used how you would use any additional monitor.
