CORSAIR to Host Halloween Spookfest Technology and Blood Drive
FREMONT, CA, October 22nd, 2019 — CORSAIR®, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, will host a Halloween-themed technology and blood drive on Saturday, October 26 from 11am to 4pm PDT at the company’s headquarters. Located at 47100 Bayside Parkway, Fremont, CA 94538, the event is open to the public and will offer CORSAIR fans an opportunity to donate blood and used technology (or both, but not at the same time) in partnership with the American Red Cross and human-I-T.
The technology drive offers attendees the opportunity to donate most working electronics, including PCs, PC hardware, and peripherals, to human-I-T, a non-profit organization that refurbishes technology for underserved communities. Acceptable electronics include working phones, laptops, tablets, computers, radios, and much more. All data will be wiped free of charge, and the electronics will be reused by underserved communities, giving them access to technology and new opportunities. Sadly, domestic appliances cannot be accepted.
CORSAIR is also working with the American Red Cross to host an onsite blood drive. Running from 10:30am to 4:30pm, registration is now open for those interested and able to donate. A limited number of walk-in blood donations will be accepted. All donors should be well rested and hydrated on the day of donation.
All valid donations, be they technology or blood, qualify for entry into an onsite raffle to win a $500 set of CORSAIR peripherals.
Activities include trick-or-treating, a costume contest, various carnival-style games, free lunch, and gaming stations featuring the newly released Blair Witch horror game, showcasing the latest immersive CORSAIR iCUE game integration. Local students and graduates are also welcome, with resume reviews and opportunities to meet with hiring managers for interview practice throughout the event. This is a great chance for those interested in a career with CORSAIR to meet the community and learn more about the company.
