A defective memory module(s) can cause various issues on your computer. These are just a few of the possible issues you may encounter. It is important to remember the issues below can also be caused by more than just defective memory.
How can we be sure that the memory is defective before starting the RMA exchange process?
There are programs available that are designed to test the computer's memory. We recommend Memtest86+ to test your computer's memory.
Please visit this link to download and install Memtest86+ for an ISO image or USB Drive: Link
To make a bootable Floppy from with in Windows,
First you would download the memtest utility to your HDD, then using www.winzip.com extract it to the same directory.
Please then get a floppy and do a fresh full format on it, and if there are any bad sectors just throw it away and get a new one. Then click on the install.bat file in the directory where you downloaded and extracted the files and follow the on screen prompts.
To make a Bootable CD from within windows you would download the ISO image that has a .zip extension. .tar would be for UNIX.
Memtest.ISO
Then use www.winzip.com to extract the ISO image to the same directory that you downloaded it to. Then using CD-R software you will burn the image to CD. Note: Do not copy the image; there is usually an option under file or burner to burn image.
Note: If you have recently added any new memory into the computer, we suggest you temporarily remove it to make sure it is not the cause of your issue before testing with Memtest. Please make sure you back up all the data from the USB drive before Memtest86+ installation as it will require a format.

If you're looking for some of the best memory you can get, then look no further. Not only will the Dominators help your system perform well, they'll also make it look cool - or at least the Dominators will look cool. Which is just one more reason to purchase them.
Full Review!Corsair have done a great job of refreshing the old Dominator modules. The new and improved Dominator GT 1866 6GB kit showed some great improvements were to be had across all of the benchmarks I ran today.
Full Review! The best part about this memory is their overclocking headroom. Bumping the memory voltage to 1.7V, the sticks clocked a tad past 1900 MHz while remaining totally stable. For those with more nerves, increasing voltage by another 50mV, up to 1.75V, allowed the Dominator's to break 2000 MHz with the same 9-9-9-24 timings.
Full Review! In my mind $205 is a steal for what is essentially a 6GB kit of Corsair Dominator 1600MHz that can be easily turned into a 1800 MHz kit with the change of a button. I basically have no option but to award this kit with the TechwareLabs Editors Choice Award. Doing anything else would simply be an injustice to this masterpiece.
Full Review! The Corsair Dominator-GT DDR3 triple-channel memory kits offer the best of both worlds: high speeds and relatively low latency. For PC hardware enthusiasts who can afford the purchase price, this memory kit could mean the difference between joining the 4.0GHz overclock club or being like everyone else.
Full Review! The Corsair Dominator 8GB DC DDR3 1600MHz kit showed us the advantage of running more ram and gave us a great performance boost, we plan on running 8GB in our test rig and that's the best compliment you can give any product so it scores an: 8.5 out of 10 and the Bjorn3D Seal Of Approval.
Full Review! If you absolutely have to have one of the best kits of memory in your system, the Dominator-GTs are it. If you are a benchmarker looking for that "end all-be all" kit of memory for flexibility in benching, the Dominator-GTs are it.
Full Review!Based on what you've seen here, allow us to strongly recommend the Dominator 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory if you want your money's worth. This is thus far the strongest dual channel 1600MHz DDR3 memory to grace this test bench.
Full Review! All in all, I am quite pleased with the Corsair Dominator GT TW3X4G1600C6GT memory. With the option to cool it using water or even a TEC, your potential for this kit is toward the sky as long as you are willing to fork over the cash to have the best.
Full Review! The Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D 1600MHz Triple Memory kit consistently outperformed the Kingston HyperX in all of our tests. In 32-Bit Windows, in both cases, only 3GB were at stake and the Corsair memory came out on top, sometimes by a fair margin. At 64-Bit, we cannot stress enough that the more memory you have, the better.

Full Review!Corsair never fail to impress us with their memory and this kit is no different. The Dominator 1600MHz triple channel kit completed our review suite with perfect stablity even when overclocked 266MHz above their stated speed.
Full Review! The fact that we can now buy memory that is specified to run at DDR3-2250 with 8-8-8 timings and only 1.65v is absolutely astonishing. A year ago that idea would have been downright ludicrous had you tried to tell us that.
Full Review! We like it when companies push the boundaries of what's possible. Desktop DDR3 operating at 2000MHz CL7 with 1.65v represents just such an approach.
Full Review!Speedy, quick, swift, blistering; it doesn't matter how you say it, PC3-18000 is fast! If you have the money and want the performance, as of this minute you can't look past the Corsair Dominator GTX PC3-18000 kit.
Full Review! All in all if you are looking for a larger than standard 4GB kit, the 8GB Corsair Dominator GT kit is certainly a kit that will suit your needs. High overclocking, aesthetically pleasing and backed up by Corsairs award winning support and warranty should make the buying decision all the easier
Full Review! To wrap things up, we have an incredibly expensive kit that offers incredible performance and keeps on moving upwards with a little overclocking. If you are a competitive benchmarker or a gamer set on buying the best, this kit is for you.
Full Review!Performance on the Dominator kit was better than we've seen on previous platforms and overclocking and tuning the Dominator kit on the LGA 1156 platform was a dream come true. The ease of overclocking on the platform makes it well worthwhile to play with CPU speed and Bclk frequencies to achieve the perfect balance of speed vs. performance.
Full Review! An extremely high quality set of DDR3 modules that offer some serious performance.
Full Review! The Corsair Dominator GT 8GB kit for Lynnfield is a well priced kit. It has potential for great performance at its rated speed and timings, with some room for overclocking as well.
Full Review!I can't help but admire the value you get for around 110. Those that say that Corsair is always more expensive (I know, I used to be one of them) haven't looked at this kit yet. The Dominators just ooze quality, offer the best cooling technology available on the market, and on top of that, overclock like a dream.
Full Review! The best-performing triple-channel kit on the marketing. Other manufacturers may claim the same potential as these sticks, but if you want guarantees, then you are going to have to buy Corsair's 2000 cas7 kit.
