Which CORSAIR PRO Workstation Should You Choose?

Last updated:

CORSAIR PRO is our range of workstations and servers built for running AI models on your own hardware. The lineup starts small, with a ready-to-go mini workstation PC, the AI Workstation 300.

From there, things scale up in two directions. FlexPrime is the tower line, from a compact desk tower to a full tower that can convert to a server rack. CORSAIR PRO also has pre-configured ready to ship systems without lead time. If you want to customize one of those builds, or choose a different set of parts, use the CORSAIR PRO configurator. FlexGrid, the server line, is ordered through that same configurator.

CORSAIR PRO configurator

The CORSAIR PRO configurator is where you build a FlexPrime workstation or a FlexGrid server to order. You choose a platform, then select a pre-configured package or start from scratch. From there you set the processor, memory, storage, graphics card, power supply, operating system, and software. Anything already fixed on a given platform does not appear as an option.

Price and wattage update as you change parts. The page has a build summary and a request quote form.

CORSAIR AI Workstation 300

The CORSAIR AI Workstation 300 is the mini workstation in the range, a 4.4 L desktop for a desk that needs little room, SKU CS-9080002-NA. It pairs an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with AMD Radeon 8060S graphics, and both share the same 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory. Variable Graphics Memory can allocate up to 96 GB of it to graphics. You get a 1 TB SSD, Windows 11 Home, and the CORSAIR AI Software Suite, backed by a two-year warranty.

FlexPrime desktops

Four FlexPrime systems ship as pre-configured builds from the store, each with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and a three-year warranty. For help sizing the card, see how much GPU memory you need for local AI. Those same platforms are in the configurator, so you can take a store build as it is or change the processor, memory, or card there.

FlexPrime V20C

The compact Intel option is the FlexPrime V20C, SKU CSW-9040004-NA. It is built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus with an Intel Arc Pro B70 with 32 GB of GDDR6, 32 GB of DDR5 system memory as two 16 GB modules, and a 1 TB SSD. It weighs 14 kg.

FlexPrime V20R

Same compact case, NVIDIA card instead. The FlexPrime V20R, SKU CSW-9040003-NA, has an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with an NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell with 32 GB of GPU memory, 32 GB of DDR5, and a 1 TB SSD. It weighs 14 kg, and includes a full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and 10GbE networking.

FlexPrime V50R

The bigger sibling is the FlexPrime V50R, SKU CSW-9040001-NA. It uses the same Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell with 32 GB as the V20R, but doubles the system memory to 64 GB of DDR5 as two 32 GB modules, plus a 1 TB SSD. It weighs 18 kg.

FlexPrime V80T

The two-GPU store build is the FlexPrime V80T, SKU CSW-9040002-NA. It is a full tower built around an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9955WX with two NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q cards, 96 GB of GPU memory each, along with 128 GB of ECC DDR5 as eight 16 GB modules and a 2 TB SSD. It weighs 21 kg.

In the configurator, this tower appears as a Threadripper PRO 9000WX platform supporting up to four double-wide graphics cards and eight DDR5 ECC modules. The two-card store build is one way to order it.

FlexPrime R80T

The FlexPrime R80T is the rack-convertible full tower. It takes one AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000WX processor, up to four double-wide graphics cards, and up to eight DDR5 ECC modules.

The processor options span from the 16-core Threadripper PRO 9955WX to the 96-core 9995WX. On the graphics side, double-wide NVIDIA cards range from an RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell with 24 GB to an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q with 96 GB. There is also a triple-wide RTX PRO 6000 at 600 W with 96 GB, plus an AMD Radeon AI Pro R9700 with 32 GB. Memory modules run from 16 GB to 128 GB of DDR5 ECC. Choose Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or Windows 11 Pro for Workstations. On Ubuntu, the software option is the CORSAIR AI stack. The packages are Essential, Professional, and Premium.

The chassis measures 27 inches deep with eight PCIe slots. Rack rails are sold separately.

FlexPrime R80X

The FlexPrime R80X is the same rack-convertible tower, but with Intel Xeon 6 processors, from the 24-core Xeon 6 658X up to the 86-core Xeon 6 698X. The packages are Good, Better, and Best.

FlexGrid servers

A FlexPrime is one computer at your desk, or in a rack if you go with the R80T or R80X. FlexGrid is the server line, ordered through the same configurator, aimed at training models and serving them to more than one person. Every FlexGrid server is configured to order. The CORSAIR PRO servers page lists these platforms.

FlexGrid G2E2

The FlexGrid G2E2 is the entry server. Two AMD EPYC sockets with up to four graphics cards over PCIe, for fine-tuning and smaller training runs.

FlexGrid MG4E2

The FlexGrid MG4E2 is a 4U server with two AMD EPYC sockets and room for up to eight PCIe graphics cards at up to 600 W each. Built for heavy data preparation and serving more than one model.

FlexGrid HG8E2

The FlexGrid HG8E2 is for full-scale model training. Eight NVIDIA B300 GPUs linked over SXM6 NVLink, plus eight ConnectX-8 InfiniBand network cards.

FlexGrid MI8E2

The FlexGrid MI8E2 has eight AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs totaling 2 TB of HBM3E, 256 GB per GPU. You choose the storage, operating system, and software.

The CORSAIR store has pre-configured systems ready to ship without lead time.
