The XENEON EDGE does not have a built-in battery and must be powered externally. It draws power via a USB-C to USB-C cable (included), a USB-C to internal USB 2.0 header cable (included), or a USB-C to USB-A cable. The USB-C port can receive both video signal and power through a single cable from compatible devices that have Thunderbolt or USB 4.
The XENEON EDGE can be used as a standalone monitor - Windows will detect it as another screen where you can run applications, change backgrounds, and perform any normal monitor functions.
