Professional Aesthetics and Robust Materials

Following our popular TC500 Luxe, we have continued the move away from traditional gaming chair style. The TC80 has more subtle branding, a muted color pallet, and a more professional vibe overall.

We went to a flatter wider base which allows more comfort and the ability to change positions more easily while the shaped backrest guides you into a more natural, comfortable position. This makes it ideal for longer workdays that turn into even longer gaming nights.

Additionally, we made the decision to use fabric on the high-wear sections of the chair, flanked by leatherette on the sections that don't receive quite as much pressure. In pursuit of reliability, the TC80 was subjected to BIFMA and EN1335 testing.

These tests are numerous and comprehensive, but the core concepts are that various sections of the chair have the twisting, overturning, and leaning limits testing by applying heavy weights to different parts to ensure that it will survive years of daily use.

For example, these tests include putting a 270lbs weight on the chair and swivelling it for 120,000 cycles to make sure the base spins smoothly for years. If you're concerned about the tilt mechanism wearing out, know that one of the tests it passed was loading it up with a 240lbs weight, and tilting the chair back and forward 300,000 times.

They really do abuse these chairs to make sure they're safe and long-lasting. You can read more about BIFMA on their website, and explore EN1335 on theirs.

Focused Ergonomics

The core of a good gaming chair is adjustability and comfort. The TC80 has both areas covered. First up we have a detachable foam neck pillow to help reduce neck and shoulder strain when using the chair for extended periods. Moving down we have a broad back section to accommodate even the widest shoulders, with a firmer, more supportive central section for enhanced lumbar support.

Then we have the linkage arm rests which feature padded leatherette covers for improved comfort. The arms are designed to retain a more constant angle as the backrest reclines, so as you lean back, the armrest stay flat.

Heading down to the seat pad, a combination of high-density foams for the core. It is designed to be supportive but also very robust. Meaning the seat foam won’t collapse after a few years of use leading to an uncomfortable chair. This makes it the perfect choice for a reliable long-lasting seat.

Under the seat base we have the tilt lock, tension adjustments and height adjustment. The tilt lock allows you to adjust between an upright angle of 90° to a comfortable recline of 115° with the option for the adjustable tension for a personalized feel to the amount of weight needed to recline.
