CORSAIR SABRE v3 PRO PureVector & SABRE v3 PRO PureVector ERGO: Everything You Need to Know

更新

Introducing CORSAIR’s newest lineup of competitive gaming mice: the SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series. Built around a new personalized sensitivity calibration technology called PureVector in partnership with Aimlabs. The series is available in three shell constructions, ULTRALIGHT, Magnesium Alloy (MG), and Carbon Fiber (CF), each offered in both a symmetrical shape and a sculpted asymmetrical ERGO shape. That means six mice variants and ten mice in total including colorways, all sharing the same sensor, switches, and wireless performance, but each tuned for a different combination of weight, material, and grip preference.

Whether the goal is the lightest possible shell for rapid flicks, a magnesium alloy build for a cooler and more rigid feel, or a carbon fiber shell for maximum stiffness, the SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series is built to let competitive and everyday FPS players find the exact shape and feel that works for their playstyle, because this is the future of aiming.

PureVector: The Future of Aiming

The headline feature across the entire series is PureVector, a personalized directional sensitivity calibration technology built through a collaboration between CORSAIR and Aimlabs. Rather than relying on a single, one-size-fits-all sensitivity value, PureVector analyzes how a player naturally moves the mouse and personalizes their directional sensitivity calibration to match it, built on a patented algorithm and more than 4 billion datasets, improving Aim Speed by up to 81ms, a 33% improvement.

Calibration happens through the Aimlabs app in a short session. Once complete, the personalized settings are saved directly to the mouse's onboard firmware, meaning no background app is required afterward. This makes it possible to play with calibrated settings in any game, even on a LAN system with nothing installed.

Every mouse in the SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series shares the same core hardware, so the performance foundation stays consistent no matter which mouse a player picks.

  1. CORSAIR MARKSMAN X Sensor: At the heart of every SABRE v3 PRO PureVector mouse is the CORSAIR MARKSMAN X optical sensor. It tracks up to 42,000 DPI with 99.7% resolution accuracy, 800 IPS tracking speed, and 70G of acceleration, giving the sensor enough headroom to stay accurate through fast, high-speed movements.
  2. True Wireless 8,000Hz Hyper-Polling: The series supports true 8,000Hz hyper-polling in both wired and wireless modes, powered by a best-in-class Nordic 54-series MCU. This delivers an average click latency of 0.25ms, whether connected over 2.4GHz wireless or a wired USB-C connection.
  3. CORSAIR Optical Switches: Clicks are handled by CORSAIR Optical Switches, rated for up to 100 million clicks. Because actuation is triggered optically, the switches deliver near zero latency pre-travel and mechanical debounce delay. Each mouse also includes an optical scroll wheel encoder for consistent, reliable scrolling.
  4. Wireless Connectivity: All six mice connect over 2.4GHz wireless using an included USB wireless receiver, plus a wired USB-C connection for zero-compromise play. The MG and CF variants add Bluetooth as a third connection option.
  5. CORSAIR Web Hub: Every mouse in the series is configured through CORSAIR Web Hub, a browser-based tool that requires no software installation. DPI stages, polling rate, lift-off distance, and button assignments can all be adjusted and saved directly to the mouse.
  6. Custom Grip and Glide: Each mouse ships with grip tape, available in black and white, and a spare set of mouse skates, letting players fine-tune traction and glide feel to match their own preferences.

Symmetrical vs Asymmetrical

Every shell in the SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series comes in two shapes: a symmetrical version and an asymmetrical ERGO version.

The symmetrical models, ULTRALIGHT, MG, and CF, use a more compact, universal shape. This suits players who prefer a smaller mouse, favor grip styles like fingertip or claw, or simply like an ambidextrous option.

The asymmetrical ERGO models, ULTRALIGHT ERGO, MG ERGO, and CF ERGO, are sculpted around the natural curve of the right hand. This provides more built-in support for palm and claw grips, offering comfort and less strain on the hand over long gaming sessions.

Both shapes share the same internal hardware, sensor, and PureVector calibration; the choice mainly comes down to hand size, grip style, and personal preference.

Variants

The SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series is split into three shell materials. Each is available in a symmetrical and an ERGO shape.

ULTRALIGHT & ULTRALIGHT ERGO

The ULTRALIGHT models are the lightest mice in the series, built for players who prioritize minimal weight above all else. Unlike the MG and CF models, the ULTRALIGHT line does not support Bluetooth, and it doesn't have a dedicated DPI button; DPI stages are instead cycled by holding the right mouse button and the back button together for three seconds, with the LED blinking to confirm the stage. Let’s go into the tech specs and features for the ULTRALIGHT models:

At 37g and 41g, the ULTRALIGHT and ULTRALIGHT ERGO are the lightest mice in the entire series, shaving grams anywhere possible to keep the shell as close to weightless as the hand can feel. That lighter build does come with a shorter runtime than the MG and CF lines, with battery life topping out at 140 hours at 1,000Hz polling, still enough for extended sessions between charges.

MG & MG ERGO

The MG models use a magnesium alloy exoskeleton. Magnesium alloy keeps the shell rigid without adding significant bulk, and it stays cooler and resists the sweat buildup that some plastic shells experience over long sessions. It also resists the flex that plastic shells can develop over time, contributing to a more stable, predictable feel through fast flicks and 180s. Unlike the ULTRALIGHT line, the MG models add Bluetooth connectivity and a dedicated DPI button, along with a longer-lasting battery.

The added weight of the magnesium alloy shell, 49g and 55g for the MG and MG ERGO, comes with a tradeoff in the mice's favor: battery life jumps to up to 200 hours at 1,000Hz polling, well beyond what the ULTRALIGHT line offers, on top of the added rigidity and cooler feel of the metal shell.

CF & CF ERGO

The CF models use a carbon fiber unibody shell in place of the MG line's magnesium alloy. Like magnesium, carbon fiber stays rigid without adding bulk and resists flex over time, but it does so at a slightly lower weight than the MG shell while keeping the same cooler, sweat-resistant feel. The CF line shares its connectivity, DPI button, and battery specs with the MG line, and is the only variant in the series to include a carrying case in the box.

The CF and CF ERGO land at 48g and 54g, a touch lighter than their MG counterparts while matching the same up to 200-hour battery life at 1,000Hz polling. That combination gives the carbon fiber shell one of the more balanced weight-to-runtime ratios in the series, without giving up the rigidity of the MG line.

The Future of Aiming

With the SABRE v3 PRO PureVector Series, CORSAIR is expanding its FPS mouse lineup in two directions at once: a genuinely new calibration technology in PureVector, and a wider range of shapes than any previous SABRE generation.

Whether a player wants the lowest weight possible with ULTRALIGHT, the cool and rigid feel of magnesium alloy with MG, or the stiffness of a carbon fiber shell with CF, and whether they prefer a symmetrical or ergonomic shape, the series is built so that the choice comes down to feel and preference rather than a tradeoff in performance.

Every version shares the same MARKSMAN X sensor, 8,000Hz hyper-polling, optical switches, and PureVector calibration, so the underlying aim-tracking experience is the same no matter which mouse ends up on the desk. Pair it with the right surface too: see our guide, How to Choose a Mousepad, to round out the setup.
