The FRAME 5000D WOOD is a revamped version of the existing FRAME 5000D with new components throughout including a wood front panel, 200mm intake fans, a full-length tempered glass side panel, a compact PSU shroud, and all USB Type-C front I/O. This case highlights the flexibility and benefits of the FRAME Modular Case System, which allows parts to be swapped out for an entirely different look and/or performance without having to buy an entirely new case.
Case in point: Most of these new parts will be made available as add-ons for existing FRAME 5000D owners via the CORSAIR web store. Therefore, if you like the look and features of this case and already own a FRAME 5000D, you can easily make your case look exactly like the FRAME 5000D WOOD RS.
If you want to look over the basics of the existing FRAME 5000D as a refresher, we’ve got a handy article covering it here.

The CORSAIR FRAME 5000D WOOD RS is a revamped version of the popular FRAME 5000D that launched in 2025. It has a new look with a solid wood front panel, all-new hardware, and differs from the existing FRAME 5000D in the following ways:
The new front panel is made from real FSC-certified wood for a natural look with great airflow. It’s available in either Oak/White or Walnut/Black.

The original FRAME 5000D features 3x 140mm fans for intake, which have been replaced with RS200 fans. These are gigantic 200mm fans for powerful airflow at low rpm for quiet operation with great cooling. An RS140 fan is still included in the rear for exhaust.

A full-coverage tempered glass side panel replaces the 3/4th coverage window on the existing case for a full view of your hardware, lighting, and tidy cable management.

The compact PSU shroud pairs well with the new glass side panel, giving you a cleaner interior. It replaces the version with the crossbar and the lower ¼ mesh on the existing case. Note: this PSU shroud does allow for vertical mounting but does not include fan mounts like the shroud in the existing case.

The 4x USB Type-A ports have been replaced with 3x USB Type-C, with two ports offering 5Gb/s transfer rates and a super-fast 20Gb/s port with yellow coloring for distinction.

These are all-new and feature a knurled collar that helps it attach to a screwdriver so it won’t fall off when you’re trying to secure a GPU or a component in a PCIe slot. You typically have to rely on luck or a magnetic screwdriver and hope the screw doesn’t fall off on its journey to the screw hole, yet it usually does fall off anyway, forcing you to hunt for it and try again. They can also be used as traditional thumbscrews as well.
QuikMount screws attach to a screwdriver easier to make the process of securing your GPU less frustrating.
The FRAME 5000D WOOD RS includes 2x RS200 and 1xRS140 PWM fans for full-coverage cooling with both intake and exhaust cooling right out of the box. The RS200 intake fans are 200mm fans that move a lot of air at very low RPMs for great cooling with very low noise. Both the RS200 intake and the RS120 exhaust fans include AirGuide technology, which uses precisely-engineered stator vanes to focus airflow on a straight trajectory for concentrated cooling as opposed to unfocused air that spreads throughout the chassis instead of directly at components that need it. The RS fans are also very quiet thanks to the use of a Magnetic Dome bearing for rotation without physical contact.
The FRAME 5000D WOOD RS features 200mm intake fans for great airflow with low fan speeds for quiet cooling.
The RS fans use motherboard connectivity for a simple way to control and sync fan speeds for the group, all using free motherboard software with no fan controllers needed. All three fans are pre-installed, with the 2x RS200 in the ventilated front panel as intake fans and 1x RS140 installed as an exhaust fan, saving you time when building your PC.
The CORSAIR FRAME 5000D WOOD RS comes in one version with three non-RGB fans included. It includes RS200 fans as front intake, so you have dual 200mm fans in the front of the case pulling in air from outside the chassis for great airflow with very low noise. There is also an RS140 fan mounted in the rear for exhaust, so you have great cooling right out of the box. The RS fans use motherboard connectivity for a simple setup and no-hassle fan management without any controllers needed.
Additionally, the FRAME 5000D WODO RS is available in two colors; Oak/White and Walnut/Black
As a variant of the FRAME 5000D, it uses the same chassis as the existing model, which is loaded with advanced features for ambitious DIY builds with a lot of fans and excellent cooling. Here’s a quick rundown of the notable features.
You can switch from horizontal to vertical GPU installation in a few seconds. The PCI slots on the back of the case feature two captive thumbscrews which can be undone to rotate the entire assembly for vertical installation. You will need to buy a PCIe riser cable, which is sold separately.
A steel multi-point mounting system offers exceptional flexibility in front and roof fan configuration. Simply slide the rail to mount fans up to 200mm in the front and up to 140mm in the roof, allowing precise placement for airflow without fixed mounting constraints.
A pegboard style motherboard tray provides customizable mounting points for tie downs and buckles. Includes six cinching straps and two wire loom pairs to secure excess cable length for a clean interior, with the option to 3D print additional accessories. Increased spacing behind the motherboard tray further improves cable management.
The motherboard tray features removable, rotatable, and adjustable cable tie down for precise cable management.
The FRAME 5000D WOOD RS is validated for ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, and GIGABYTE Project Stealth motherboards, with extensive connector cutouts and tie downs to keep cables tidy even where they are not visible.
Many components of the FRAME 5000D WOOD RS are user-replaceable to fit your needs, including the side and front panels, motherboard tray, PSU shroud, and front I/O. CORSAIR has already introduced several accessories for this chassis including a side panel for the XENEON EDGE 14.5" LCD TOUCHSCREEN and a Cold Air Intake Kit.
The case includes 3x mounting locations for radiators up to 420mm, including front, top, and side. Mount up to 12x 120mm or 140mm fans simultaneously to maintain strong, efficient airflow.
The included drive tray supports one 3.5" hard drive or four 2.5" SSDs. The tray can also be removed entirely to free up space for custom cooling components, or for cable management.
Today’s graphics cards are larger and heavier than ever, which is why this case includes a GPU Anti-sag Stabilization Arm to keep your graphics card properly supported. This helps protect both the GPU and your motherboard's PCIe slot.
