CORSAIR iCUE LINK LX360 and RX360 II UNIFIED FRAME Fans: Everything You Need to Know

With the release of the iCUE LINK LX360 and RX360 II fans, CORSAIR is introducing a different kind of cooling fan: the unified frame fan. Instead of using three separate fans mounted side by side to cool a radiator or provide system airflow, unified frame fans combine all three into a single unit.

Traditional triple-fan setups typically require more screws, more separate fan connections, and careful alignment to avoid uneven airflow and vibration. Unified Frame fans bring three 120mm fans together in a single rigid assembly that is easier to handle and faster to install.

By removing gaps between fans and integrating power and data routing directly into the frame, Unified Frame fans simplify installation, reduce cable clutter, and help maintain even airflow across a full 360mm radiator or mounting surface. The result is a cleaner build process and more consistent cooling behavior.

CORSAIR offers two Unified Frame families in the iCUE LINK ecosystem: RX360 II and LX360. Each is tuned for a different use case, but both share the same core advantages.

CORSAIR iCUE LINK RX360 II Unified Frame RGB Fans bring second-generation RX fan design into a streamlined 360mm unified frame, with a focus on quiet operation, refined lighting, and easy system integration within the iCUE LINK ecosystem. Built around the unified frame principle, RX360 II fans reduce installation complexity while maintaining consistent airflow across larger cooling surfaces.

RX II fans retain the same RGB LED layout and LED count, while refining lighting behavior for improved visual consistency and more even illumination. Adjustments to light diffusion help deliver a cleaner, more uniform appearance across each fan, particularly when viewed through modern tempered glass panels. Lighting is fully customizable through CORSAIR iCUE and can be synchronized with other iCUE RGB components for a cohesive, system-wide aesthetic.

Acoustics are a key focus of RX II fans, which are optimized to provide stable airflow quietly at everyday operating speeds. Combined with Magnetic Dome bearings and CORSAIR AirGuide technology, this makes RX360 II Unified Frame fans well suited to quiet-focused gaming and content-creation builds where sustained cooling is required without excess fan noise.

RX360 II Unified Frame fans also include built-in temperature sensors for real-time thermal monitoring through iCUE. This allows fan behavior to respond directly to measured temperatures rather than relying solely on CPU or coolant readings, enabling more accurate system data and finer control over cooling behavior.

RX360 II Unified Frame fans are available in black or white and can be purchased with or without an iCUE LINK System Hub, making them easy to integrate into both new iCUE LINK builds and existing systems.

The iCUE LINK LX360 Unified Frame RGB Fans apply the same unified frame ethos across the LX fan range. The focus here is on consistent, radiator-ready airflow, streamlined installation, and vibrant RGB lighting within the iCUE LINK ecosystem.

The fan housing helps minimize vibration and maintain even airflow across the entire radiator surface, supporting stable cooling behavior during long gaming sessions or sustained creative workloads. Like RX360 II, LX360 Unified Frame fans simplify cable management by embedding power and data connections directly into the frame.

LX360 Unified Frame fans feature 18 RGB LEDs per fan, for a total of 54 individually addressable LEDs across the unified frame. The LEDs are spread across the inner and outer loops of each fan to deliver bright, evenly distributed lighting that is fully customizable through CORSAIR iCUE software. A wide range of effects is supported, including the iCUE LINK exclusive Time Warp Lighting Mode. This effect creates the illusion that the fans are frozen in place or spinning in reverse.

The LX360-R variant features a reverse rotor design, making it ideal for use as intake fans by keeping the illuminated fan faces visible, helping maintain a clean, symmetrical look without changing the overall installation process or airflow alignment.

LX360 and LX360-R Unified Frame fans are available in black or white and come with an iCUE LINK System Hub, offering full CORSAIR iCUE control for RGB lighting and fan behavior.

Unified Frame fans are a clear step forward for builders who value clean installs, simple cable management, and consistent airflow. By combining three fans into a single assembly, the complexity is reduced while maintaining the flexibility and control expected from the iCUE LINK ecosystem. We continue to offer individual fan options across our lineup, giving builders the freedom to choose the right fan for each system, layout, and individual needs. Unified Frame fans expand the platform, offering practical options for modern builds.
