The main difference between v2 and v3 is the addition of a wireless version. Not only does the wireless HS35 v3 offer the same competitive specifications as the wired version, it achieves all of that while still coming in at the same weight as the wired HS35 v2. HS35 v3 Wired manages all of this while weighing 20 grams less than HS35 v2.
Additionally, HS35 v3 Wireless features compatibility with Dolby Atmos, allowing for comprehensive customization and tweaking via software. If you’re someone who needs native EQ and added audio-enhancing, HS35 v3 Wireless might be right for you.
HS35 v3 Wireless includes a removable microphone, allowing for HS35 v3 Wireless to be used seamlessly when out and about and not needing a mic. Conversely, the HS35 v3 Wired microphone cannot be removed.
Another added feature with HS35 v3 Wireless is the nested dongle design. The wireless dongle features a USB Type C connector that slots into a provided USB-A adapter, allowing for connectivity with PC or directly to a mobile phone or Switch via USB Type C.
The final upgrade to mention is the improved floating headband of HS35 v3, which includes adjustment points to fine-tune the headband sizing. The floating headband design still offers comfort and flexibility, just with wider compatibility.
HS35 v3 Wireless and Wired versions are designed to serve slightly different use-cases, but are both compelling in what they offer. Both also provide a welcome upgrade over the previous HS35 v2 headset, with added features and functionality in a lighter and more comfortable package.
