ARC Raiders System Requirements and Recommended Specs

After decent success with The Finals, Embark Studios’ next game is one the way. The Finals was light-hearted team-based FPS, but ARC Raiders is a new third-person PvPvE, survival sci-fi game. So, let’s look at the System Requirements to see if your PC is capable of exploring the unique world of Speranza.

There is no storage requirement listed on the Steam Store page for Arc Raiders at time of writing, but our install totals 32.72 GB. So, as long as you have around a 2TB SSD, you’ve probably got enough spare space for ARC Raiders.

The recommended specs for ARC Raiders aren’t too taxing, so you’ll probably be alright. That said, the game looks like it’s going to be totally sumptuous when it comes to graphics, so just because the specs are easy enough to meet, doesn’t mean you can expect excellent performance.

PC gamers should be running 32 GB of RAM at this point, so if you aren’t, ARC Raiders might be the justification for upgrading you’ve been waiting for. So, pick up 32 GB of VENGEANCE RGB if your PC works with DDR5, or 32 GB of VENGEANCE RGB PRO if you’re still on a DDR4 platform.

Given that this game looks like it’s going to run the CPU pretty hard, we’d also recommend considering a CPU cooler upgrade. The iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX LCD is our best-performing AIO right now, but the NAUTILUS 360 RS is almost as strong, but far more affordable.

The Finals was pretty well optimized, so we’re confident that ARC Raiders won’t make your PC work too hard, so you’ll probably be alright without any big upgrades. A 50-Series GPU from Nvidia or a 90-Series from AMD will not be necessary for this game.

It appears that you’ll spend your time shooting nefarious robots and drones and scavenging the landscape for materials to upgrade your squad’s equipment. You might also run into a high value boss here and there, which will be far more challenging, but will surely result in tastier drops.

This PvE gameplay will be punctuated by occasional attacks from other players, providing the PvP we all fear. Meaning that your experience will depend entirely on whether the people in your server region are dirtbags or not

Then again, defending you and your boys is the name of the game when it comes to this genre, with griefing forming a central part of the gameplay loop. Reformed DayZ players will know what we’re talking about

Unlike DayZ however, ARC Raiders doesn’t look like it’s going to be totally open world, as the Steam Store page for this game mentioned that there are “four distinct maps at launch”. So, it could be somewhat of a hybrid semi-open world.
