That’s right folks, the Battlefield 6 PC Specs are now final, now that the game has unlocked across all regions. This game looks like a return to regular present-day combat after the lukewarm reception of the previous game's futuristic setting, Battlefield 2042.
Additionally, the Steam store page for Battlefield 6 states that “campaign is back”, so the eight people who buy Battlefield games to enjoy the single player mode also have something to look forward to. Now, let’s take a look at the Battlefield 6 system requirements to see if your PC is ready for deployment.
Since the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, the System requirements have changed, so here's the latest.
For that last part, check out our guide on how to enable Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, HVCI, and VBS. (Those last two are not mandatory, but helpful for overall system security)
It’s also worth noting that the Battlefield 6 specs flat out deny any VR compatibility, so if you were hoping to jump into the conflict in the most immersive way possible, we’re sorry to break the bad news. It’s also interesting that the storage requirement is 55 GB for the minimum specs and 80 GB for the recommended. This is likely due to an optional extra high-quality texture pack.
According to EA’s blog post on the subject, the recommended PC specs allow you to hit 60 FPS at 1440p with the “High” preset. Or, with the resolution reduced to 1080p and the “Low” preset, you can expect 80+ FPS.
Unsurprisingly, the Battlefield 6 system requirements are pretty tough. This is a franchise famous for its ultra-realistic graphics and spectacular destructible environments. Not to mention its ridiculously massive maps.
Basically, this entire franchise is comprised of features that require a lot of computing power. So, if you’re keen to play this game right at launch, here are some upgrades you should think about.
First and foremost, if you’re willing to spend the money, upgrading to a new GPU will let you enjoy the full graphical fidelity of Battlefield 6. Nvidia’s 50-Series is the gold standard here, as the various features of DLSS 4 will help you squeeze a little more performance out of this game. AMD’s 9070 and 9070 XT are also solid choices, as they’re priced lower and easier to find.
The famously large multiplayer maps of the Battlefield franchise also benefit from more RAM, and that’s a far more affordable upgrade. Both sets of specs call for 16 GB of system memory, but grabbing 32 GB of VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 will help reduce stutter as you explode your way across the map. Those still on a DDR4 platform should instead choose 32 GB of VENGEANCE RGB RS.
Due to the dynamic nature of the destructible environments of these games, they can get quite CPU-intensive, too. This makes it a good opportunity to upgrade to a more modern gaming CPU with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D being the top pick here. AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology really does make a big difference, especially in gaming.
Regardless of whether you get a new CPU or not, Battlefield 6 will make it work harder than usual, so keep it cool by upgrading to a iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO or a NAUTILUS 360 RS if you aren’t into all that RGB stuff.
Luckily, this game doesn’t take up too much storage, but grabbing a high-capacity SSD is still recommended. Battlefield 6 will doubtlessly receive many updates and DLCs throughout its lifespan, ballooning the install size well beyond the base game.
The Battlefield franchise has a long history, but really came to the forefront as a foil to the Call of Duty series. Where Call of Duty was all about fast, close-quarter gunfights, Battlefield provided a more expansive, slower-paced vibe, with destructible environments and vehicles helping to differentiate it further.
This means you can expect up to 64 players in a single match, with a large number of them cutting about in tanks, quad bike, and APCs. Not to mention a few comedians going full Tom Cruise in jet fighters overhead.
Additionally, the destructible environments mean maps can change dynamically throughout the match. Players can blow through buildings to create new sightlines and open up alternative approaches to the objective.
All this makes for a wildly exciting and unpredictable gameplay experience, so if your PC is up to the task, you’ve got a lot to look forward to this fall. Check out the multiplayer gameplay trailer below for a taste of the chaos.
