The default connection mode for the VOID WIRELESS v2 is 2.4GHz wireless mode. To connect to a PC, simply plug the USB dongle into a free USB Type-A slot on the desired PC, and you should be connected. If you’re not hearing any sound through your headset, try going into your sound settings in Windows and making sure that the output device is set to use the headset. Additionally, a device driver should load onto your system automatically, so if you want to ensure that the headset is performing optimally, please do a quick system restart.
For full functionality on the PC including custom EQ modes, adjusting sidetone level, firmware updates and more, you can install Corsair’s iCUE software here: iCUE Download. Additionally you also can install Dolby Atmos for immersive spatial audio by reading our article on how to enable Dolby Atmos on CORSAIR headsets.
To connect to a PlayStation 4, plug the USB adapter into an available USB Type-A slot. From the PS4 settings menu, go to Devices. Choose Audio Devices, and then Output to Headphones. Then, choose which audio you want to send to the VOID WIRELESS v2.
For PlayStation gamers who have upgraded to the PS5, you’ll also plug the USB adapter into an available USB Type-A slot. Go to Settings > Sound and Select “Audio Output Settings”. Select your VOID WIRELESS v2, and you’re ready to go! PlayStation has a full guide on how to enable 3D audio on their website you can follow for instructions.
To pair your VOID WIRELESS v2 with a compatible Bluetooth® device, hold down the multifunction button on the VOID WIRELESS v2 until it blinks red/blue, indicating that it has entered pairing mode. Now go to the Bluetooth setting on your device and select the VOID WIRELESS v2 to complete the pairing. Super easy!
Because pairing your headset to so many different devices is quick and easy, we suggest using Bluetooth® mode for things like listening to music or taking phone calls. Connecting via Bluetooth® also drains the VOID WIRELESS v2’s battery less than the 2.4GHz mode, which is also a nice plus.
However, gaming is best experienced via the low-latency 2.4GHz connection. If you are connected to a device that allows both connection types, and you want to switch how the VOID WIRELESS v2 is connected, a quick press of the power button on the headset will swap between the two connection modes.
