Several CORSAIR cases currently on the market have a small rectangular cover on the rear of the chassis with the word LINK printed on it. This mysterious port will be showing up on more cases from CORSAIR in the future too, which begs the question, what the heck is it?
This port is not really a port, but rather it's an opening in the case that lets you run cables through it, and it's covered to keep things nice and tidy. This port was originally designed for future expansion devices that were outside of a PC, usually on a desk, but it's now been repurposed for the XENEON EDGE 14.5" LCD Touchscreen.
In some situations, a person might want to route cables into the case from outside, so it's a clean and effective opening that makes it easier. If this port didn’t exist, and you had to run a cable from the outside of a case to the inside, you’d need to do it through an empty PCI slot with the cover removed, which looks bad and just feels wrong.
Also, due to the change in focus for the LINK port, the lettering on the cover will eventually change from LINK to XENEON EDGE to more accurately reflect the new use case.
