CORSAIR memory part numbers are meant to be understood at a glance. Use this article to see what the information in the part number means.
For this article, we will use the following part number as an example: CMK32GX4M2Z3200C16W. We will break down what each part of the number means below:
- CM: Corsair Memory.

K: The memory kit line; in this case, it is part of the LPX line.

- 32G: The total capacity of the memory kit and the sum of all modules' capacities; in this case, the total capacity of all memory modules added together is 32GB.
- X4: The DDR generation of the memory kit; in this case, it is DDR4.
- M2: The number of modules in the kit; in this case, combined with the "32G" part of the number, there are 2 memory modules, with each module having a capacity of 16GB.
- Z: The model version, which denotes platform compatibility; for DDR5, the model refers to the PMIC range of the kit.

3200: The number of megatransfers per second when the overclock profile is enabled.
