If you've used our iCUE LINK AIO coolers, whether from the first generation or the original TITAN Series, you'll already be familiar with their streamlined installation and reduced cable clutter. With the new iCUE LINK TITAN II RX Series, we're building on that foundation with meaningful performance improvements, while making it even easier to install.
The original FlowDrive pump debuted with the first iCUE LINK TITAN AIO Series, but now it's even better. FlowDrive 2 delivers up to 30% greater flow, improved durability, and lower noise levels than the original FlowDrive pump. The cold plate found on the iCUE LINK TITAN II is thinner than its predecessor, by a significant amount. While this may initially sound like a downgrade, the thinner copper cold plate reduces thermal resistance, helping transfer heat away from the CPU more efficiently. Combined with the higher flow rate of the FlowDrive 2, the updated cold plate helps maintain efficient heat transfer from the CPU to the cooling loop.
While Intel CPUs are easy for us to accommodate, we focused on AMD CPUs to see how we could improve contact with the integrated heat spreader. The tweaked convex cold plate shape offers improved pressure distribution, helping to maximize contact across the CPU surface. Uneven pressure distribution can increase the likelihood of hotspots on specific cores, which can limit CPU performance.
The iCUE LINK TITAN II RX Series includes iCUE LINK RX360 II RGB fans mounted on a unified frame. There was nothing wrong with the three separate RX120 fans on the original TITAN, but the unified frame makes it even easier to mount (four screws vs. 12 screws) and a cleaner aesthetic.
Aside from the unified frame, the RX II fans also now feature built-in temperature sensors for real-time thermal monitoring. Built-in temperature sensors enable more responsive fan control and can help reduce unnecessary noise. Fans can ramp up when they detect rising ambient temperatures, rather than sharply spiking when your CPU boosts and has a short, sudden increase in temperature. Localized thermal response allows fans in different locations to respond accordingly. For example, fans below your GPU may not need to run as high as the fans on the radiator, reducing unnecessary noise.
We took the time to improve cooling efficiency where possible, resulting in adjustments to the fin density on the TITAN II's radiators. The result is more efficient cooling at lower fan speeds (400–1000 RPM) and lower noise levels across the fan's operating range.
While we did bring some major functional improvements to the TITAN II, you know we had to bring some new, exciting looks too.
