Do the RTX 50-Series GPUs need a 12V-2X6 cable
Yes. The RTX 50-Series GPUs all use the 12V-2x6 power connector. This is a simpler and more elegant solution than the squid adapters of yesteryear, although you can still go the adapter route if you wish. The 12V-2x6 standard can carry up to 600W, however, not all 50-Series GPUs will need all that, so don't go thinking you will absolutely need a PSU that powerful.
Additionally, whichever CORSAIR PSU you have, you do not necessarily need one with a native 12V-2x6 port. It's preferable as it's more compact and easier to cable manage, but you can use the oft-included 2x 8-pin to 12V-2x6 cable with no issues. check out the infographic below.
Here you can see the different ways of safely powering a 50-Series GPU with CORSAIR PSUs. All will work, but some are less convenient and will take up more cable management room than others. If your CORSAIR PSU has a 12V-2x6 connection then any 12V-2x6 cable will work. If you are using another configuration to get there, you must check whether your CORSAIR PSU is Type 4 or Type 5. If you're shopping for a new CORSAIR power supply, then the webpage will clearly state which cable type the PSU in question uses.
If your PSU is already fully up to the task, but the cable you have says 12VHPWR instead of 12V-2x6, don't worry. The differences between these two standards are not related to the cable. So you are free to use the cable you already have.
