How to Create an Auto-click Macro in iCUE

An auto-click macro is great to have in a wide array of games - especially those that require a ton of button mashing like Minecraft, Path of Exile, or Borderlands. Having a macro that auto-clicks a button for you will provide a convenience you wish knew about sooner, or quite possibly even provide an advantage.

Note that some multiplayer games do not allow the use of auto-click macros and some of them have ways of detecting the use of such macros which can result in account bans. Please look into the games you play to make sure macros are allowed.

For our keyboards and mice supported in iCUE, you can create and assign an auto-clicking macro via a quick process detailed below. For this example, we'll be binding the MAKR PRO 75's "Alt + X" keys to repeatedly press the left mouse button for us - perfect for rapidly firing any semi-auto weapons in FPS games.

1) Select your keyboard/mouse and navigate to "Key Assignments"

2) Press the "+" under "Assignments" and choose "Macro"

3) On the image of your keyboard/mouse, press whichever button you'd like to assign the macro to. You can also change the key by hovering over the assigned key and pressing the "X". For keyboards, you can also add a modifier.

Example: pressing FN + X, Alt +X, or Shift + X as opposed to rebinding the X key entirely.

4) Before recording the macro, we have to change a recording setting first. Depending on whether you want your macro to automatically click a keyboard or mouse button, make sure you go to the "General" tab and enable either "Keyboard Events" or "Mouse Clicks", then disable the rest of the options unless you feel like they would be useful to your macro.

5) Return to the "Recording" tab and press the red circle. Click whichever key it is that you want to auto-click, then stop the recording.

In this example, we're simply clicking our left mouse button - example of how our macro recording looks below.

6) Navigate to the "Advanced" tab and choose the assignment trigger.

For our example, we're using toggle so we don't need to hold down the Alt + X keys and can freely enable and disable the macro. We also choose the "Repeat Constantly" assignment repeat so it continuously presses the LMB until we toggle the macro off.

Auto Click Macro 4

And just like that, you've assigned an auto-clicking macro via iCUE. May your auto-clicking macro provide you the advantage where allowed, or even assist you with nuanced tasks like spamming the "Add to Cart" button for obtaining highly pursued restocks.
