Clear comms is one of the most important parts of gaming, yet it's often the most overlooked. Most gamers rely on the microphone built into their headset, which can be fine, but it isn't as good as a dedicated external microphone. CORSAIR is closing that gap with VOXARA, its first entry into the premium USB condenser microphone category.
Built around a 25mm condenser capsule, a 32-bit/192kHz audio engine, Elgato Wave Link 3.0 integration, and customizable RGB lighting, VOXARA is designed to bring studio-grade vocal capture to any gaming setup.

At the heart of VOXARA is a 25mm electret condenser capsule, larger than what's typically found in headset mics or entry-level USB microphones. Condenser capsules work by suspending a thin, electrically charged diaphragm in front of a fixed backplate; as sound waves move the diaphragm, the changing distance between the two is converted into an electrical signal. A larger diaphragm, like VOXARA's 25mm capsule, moves with more surface area per sound wave, which generally produces a warmer tone and finer vocal detail than smaller capsules. That capsule design also gives VOXARA a wide 20Hz–20,000Hz frequency response and a 110dB SPL ceiling, so it can capture the full range of a voice without distorting louder moments.
That capsule is also tuned with a cardioid polar pattern, meaning it's most sensitive to sound coming from directly in front of it and less sensitive to sound from the sides and rear. In practice, that means VOXARA is built to prioritize a person's voice rather than picking up the whole room evenly.
Beyond the capsule itself, how a microphone converts analog sound into digital data matters just as much. Two numbers define that conversion: bit depth and sample rate.
Bit depth determines how finely the loudness of a sound is measured at each point in the recording, and more bit depth means more range and headroom before microphone clipping. VOXARA records at 32-bit depth, well above the 16-bit or 24-bit depth common on gaming microphones, reducing the odds of a sudden loud moment distorting the recording.
Sample rate determines how many "snapshots" of the sound wave are captured every second, and the more snapshots per second, the closer the microphone sounds to your actual voice. VOXARA samples at 192kHz, well above the 44.1kHz or 48kHz used by most consumer audio devices, preserving finer vocal detail across the frequency response. The result, paired with the 25mm capsule, is a signal with more fidelity and processing headroom right out of the box.
Out of the box, VOXARA already delivers premium microphone quality on its own. That quality can be extended further through Elgato Wave Link 3.0, the same audio routing and mixing software used across Elgato's audio lineup. Wave Link sits between the physical microphone and whatever software is capturing audio and lets a person route each source into its own channel and build separate mixes for different destinations. A streamer, for example, can send a balanced mix of mic, game audio, and music to their broadcast while hearing a different balance in their own headphones.
Wave Link also hosts VOXARA's AI-powered Voice Focus, a real-time noise suppression and voice isolation effect built on ai-coustics' audio processing technology. Rather than applying a simple noise gate that cuts audio below a volume threshold, Voice Focus analyzes the incoming signal to distinguish a person's voice from background elements like room reverb, echo, and ambient noise. It then processes the signal to keep the voice intact while suppressing everything else. Voice Focus can be toggled on or off in Wave Link and adjusted along a Weak-to-Strong intensity slider depending on how much processing a given room or setup needs.
That effects chain can be extended further through the Elgato Marketplace, where additional plugins like vocal EQ, compression, and other processing effects can be downloaded directly into Wave Link alongside built-in effects like Voice Focus. This gives VOXARA a path to more advanced audio processing without requiring any additional hardware.

An OLED display built into the front of VOXARA shows mic gain, sidetone balance, playback volume, and mute status at all times. Alongside it, a single infinite scroll wheel cycles between the three modes: mic gain, sidetone balance, and playback volume. With a single press switching between modes and scrolling up or down adjusting whichever one is active.
A dedicated tap-to-mute sensor mutes and unmutes the microphone instantly. Mute state is also communicated visually through the mute indicator ring. When muted, the ring turns solid red and when unmuted, the ring turns green for three seconds, so mute status is visible even from across a room.
RGB lighting is built into the microphone's body, with lighting split into three categories:
An RGB Mode Rear Knob cycles between lighting categories and their sub-modes directly on the hardware, while Wave Link 3.0 exposes full customization of colors, speed, and direction for each effect. Lighting can also be synchronized across a broader setup through iCUE Murals, CORSAIR's system for syncing RGB lighting across compatible devices to a single visual theme.

VOXARA pairs its audio hardware with a few practical features aimed at everyday use at a desk. A built-in shock mount isolates the capsule from vibrations that would otherwise travel through a desk and register as thuds in a recording. A built-in pop filter addresses a different problem: plosive sounds like "p" and "b," which send a short burst of air directly at the capsule and can cause more distortion. VOXARA's pop filter sits in the housing directly in front of the capsule, diffusing that burst of air before it reaches the diaphragm.
VOXARA also ships with a detachable, weighted aluminum stand offering 360° rotation and roughly 30° of tilt, providing stable desktop placement out of the box. For anyone using a mic arm instead, the microphone's native 5/8-inch thread mounts directly, and 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch adapters are included for broader compatibility.
Connectivity is plug-and-play across Windows and macOS, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, covering most gaming setups without additional drivers. Console use is limited to out-of-the-box audio capture, since Wave Link 3.0 is only on Windows and Mac systems.
Between its 25mm condenser capsule, 32-bit/192kHz audio engine, and integration with Elgato Wave Link 3.0, VOXARA is built to bring studio-level audio capture and processing to any gaming desk. Onboard controls, a built-in shock mount and pop filter, and AI Voice Focus handle the practical realities of recording at a desk, while customizable RGB lighting and iCUE Murals sync VOXARA into the rest of the CORSAIR and Elgato setup.
