Corsair Carbide Air 540 wins Innovation Award at Hexus!
This is very much a case of Corsair demonstrating an ability to create products that are right in line with enthusiasts' expectations. Attractive, easy to build into, great at showcasing your hardware , and plenty of air- or liquid-cooling possibilities: the Air 540 hits a lot of the right notes. Is this Corsair's best chassis to date? Perhaps not - the 600T is still prettier, the 650D is made of sterner stuff and the 550D is noticeably quieter - but we're confident in calling the Air 540 Corsair's cleverest solution thus far. The dual-chamber approach has merit, and this first attempt at the cube is so convincing that we're already looking forward to spin-offs. A white Graphite Cube? A sound-proofed, aluminium Obsidian Cube? Yes, please.

Carbide Air 540 wins Innovation Award from eTeknix.com!
“I can see this chassis proving popular with those who like to show off their rigs, there is a lot of space inside the 540 for customisation and certainly a lot of room for water cooling. This is a great case now, but has the potential to be ever better if you have the time and money to invest in it.”

Carbide Air 540 wins Premium Grade Award at Bit-tech!
We have to admit that we're quite taken with the Carbide Air 540. Cube cases aren't for everyone but there's something about the ease with which you can build a system into it as well as it's unique look and water-cooling-friendly design that makes it a much more appealing option than your average enthusiast tower case. In fact, we'd much rather own it than its big brother, the Obsidian 900D, or any of the large tower cases we've seen recently. Its price tag makes it especially attractive and combined with the fact it would stand out (for good, not bad reasons) at a LAN party means Corsair has pulled off something special here - a case that's different but actually good and doesn't cost a fortune. When the cube cases of last decade became popular they proved quite tricky to get hold of, and were snapped up by eager enthusiasts in the second hand market.

Corsair Carbide Air 540 wins Pro-Clockers Editor's Choice Award!
I have to say this is one of the best cases I have reviewed ever at Pro-Clockers. The cube-style chassis structure is something that is dominated by the likes of Lian Li, Mountain Mods, Cubitek and a few others. To have one, you will likely need a hefty sum of cash somewhere around $300 or more which pretty much dents anybody's wallet just for a computer case. Yes, all these cases of made of aluminum which is great but only a few enthusiast really have the likes with an all-aluminum case. On the other hand, Corsair has bought the cube case available to the modest enthusiast PC builders. For a long time, I was hoping someone would do this. I should have figured it would be Corsair as they have a tendency to look around and ask people what they want in products they sell. Great innovation from Corsair indeed!
