The XENEON EDGE does not have a built-in battery and must be powered externally. It draws power via a USB-C to USB-C cable (included), a USB-C to internal USB 2.0 header cable (included), or a USB-C to USB-A cable. The USB-C port can receive both video signal and power through a single cable from compatible devices that have Thunderbolt or USB 4.
The XENEON EDGE can be used as a standalone monitor - Windows will detect it as another screen where you can run applications, change backgrounds, and perform any normal monitor functions. However, due to its unique 2560x720 resolution and 14.5" size, it's designed primarily as a secondary display or companion screen for specific use cases.
You do not need iCUE software to use the XENEON EDGE as a basic touchscreen monitor. Windows will detect it as a standard monitor that you can extend or duplicate. However, iCUE is required if you want to use custom widget layouts, system monitoring dashboards, profile switching controls, and other advanced iCUE-integrated features.
The XENEON EDGE can be used as an additional touchscreen monitor with macOS, but it is not compatible with the macOS version of iCUE software. This means you will not be able to use any iCUE features, custom widgets, or system monitoring dashboards on Mac - only basic external display functionality.
The XENEON EDGE includes a detachable magnetic stand for desktop use. Additionally, it features 14 built-in magnets on the backplate for attachment to any metal surface, 360mm radiator mounting compatibility (fits where three 120mm fans would mount), and two 1/4-20" threaded mounting points compatible with standard camera tripods and AV arms including Elgato Multi-Mount systems.
The XENEON EDGE is compatible with any case that can fit a 360mm radiator mount.
