Pragmata System Requirements and Recommended Specs

Last updated:

Pragmata is the newest IP from Capcom. Indeed its first new IP in what seems like decades, which is exciting as Capcom games are always an interesting affair. They aren’t always good, but they are always interesting.

Pragmata, happily, looks like it’s going to be both. Not only that, but judging by the PC specs, and the demo on Steam, it’s going to be visually sumptuous. Let’s take a look.

Pragmata Recommended PC Specs

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8 GB / Radeon RX 6600 8 GB
  • DirectX Version: 12
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

Pragmata Minimum PC Specs

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB / Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB
  • DirectX Version: 12
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

The Steam Store page for Pragmata also states the following for the minimum specs: “Estimated performance when set to 'Performance' preset: 1080p/45 fps. Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes."

And this for the recommended specs: “Estimated performance when set to 'Balanced' preset: 1080p/60 fps. Frame rate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB required to support ray tracing.”

Both sets of specs also recommend an SSD, which is unsurprising in this day and age, but a touch irritating given the current cost issues surrounding those.

Can I Run Pragmata?

Well, interestingly, and somewhat amazingly for a modern game, there’s a demo you can play already. So, try that and you’ll be able to have an indication of what kind of performance you can expect. It seems to run pretty well already, but that’s no guarantee for the full release.

If Capcom’s newest IP is something you’re keen for, and you’re in the market for an upgrade already, then a new GPU is where you should start. This game is heavy on the particle effects, and overall looks like it’s going to push graphical hardware hard. A 50-Series GPU from Nvidia is best if you’ve got the cash, but more discerning gamers might prefer a Radeon RX 9060 or 9070 XT from AMD.

The next recommendation is one we don’t find ourselves making very often, but you really should use a controller for this game. Due to the “right-brain, left-brain” gameplay, the ergonomics and simplicity of a controller simply work better. Here at CORSAIR, we do not sell controllers, but our friends over at SCUF do. Grab an ENVISION PRO v2 if you do all your gaming on PC, a VALOR PRO if you do a mixture of PC and Xbox, or a REFLEX PRO if you jump between PS5 and PC.

What Kind of Game is Pragmata?

On the face of it, it’s a third-person shooter with a sci-fi setting. Something a bit like Dead Space but without the horror. However, it gets more interesting when you realise that you’re actually controlling two protagonists simultaneously.

Pragmata jet pack

We have Hugh, the primary protagonist, and on his shoulder at all times we have Diana, a childlike robot. Hugh does the shooting, and Diana does a kind of hacking action. You are responsible for both of these mechanics, and you won’t get far just choosing one or the other. There’s also a jetpack (should be mandatory in all games), which allows you to get around and will probably result in some traversal puzzle gameplay.

The demo felt good and we think this is a promising game. It’s a compelling twist on a standard genre, and we’re looking forward to seeing if it’s more than just a gimmick.
