If you have a Corsair One 2017 or 2018 model and want to upgrade the memory and storage by yourself, read this guide to learn how to do so.

You can upgrade your memory and storage without voiding your Corsair One warranty if you follow these instructions and only use validated parts when upgrading.

We highly recommend you back up your data before attempting upgrades. Corsair is not liable for any damages or voided warranties caused by incorrect upgrades.

Supported upgrades

These are the supported upgrades for Corsair One:

• Corsair One 32GB DRAM Upgrade Kit
• Any Corsair 2.5" SATA SSD

Accessing the components

To access the components in your Corsair One, you will need a Phillips Head screwdriver.

1. Press the release button firmly and pull the top assembly straight up.
2. Disconnect the fan cable and set the top assembly aside.
3. With the Corsair One facing away from you, unscrew one of the two screws holding the left side panel in place.
4. Remove the second screw while resting your hand against the side panel, since it will pop open.
5. Once the side panel is open, carefully rotate the cooling hoses so the panel can be laid parallel with the Corsair One unit.

Replace the boot drive

Once you’ve opened the side panel of the Corsair One, you can replace the boot drive. This is the solid state drive (SSD) that contains the Corsair One OS, so be very careful with it.

1. Place a finger on the corner of the SSD to hold it.
2. Disconnect the SATA data cable.
3. Remove the SATA power cable.
4. Press the release latch on the opposite side of the SATA data cable to release the SSD.
5. Remove the SSD.
6. Insert your new SSD by sliding it into the caddy until you feel a click.
7. Plug in the SATA data cable.
8. Plug in the SATA power cable.

Replace the hard drive disk

Once you’ve opened the side panel of the Corsair One, you can get to the hard drive disk (HDD).

1. Turn over the side panel to gain access to the bottom of the chassis.
   • You can reposition the radiator hoses to give yourself more room to work and make it easier to replace the DRAM.
2. Remove the Corsair Link USB cable and disconnect the power cable from the motherboard.
3. Click the release latch and remove the expansion drive from the caddy.
4. Hold the drive and disconnect the SATA data cable.
5. Remove the SATA power cable.
6. Attach the SATA data cable to your new HDD.
7. Attach the SATA power cable to your new HDD.
8. Carefully slide the new HDD into the caddy until you feel a click.

Replace the DRAM

To replace the DRAM of your Corsair One:

1. Flip the latch on the left side of the DRAM slot.
2. Carefully pull each DRAM module out of each slot.
3. Insert your new DRAM modules. To make sure you’re properly inserting the module:
   • Make sure the logo is facing toward you.
   • Place the right corner of the module in first and click the module into place.
4. Connect the power cable back into the motherboard.
5. Connect the Corsair Link cable back to the waterblock.

Close up the Corsair One

Once you are finished putting in your upgraded components, close up your Corsair One.

1. Return the Corsair One to its standing position.
2. Insert the bottom of the side panel into the latch.
   • You may have to adjust the radiator hoses to close the panel completely.
3. Once the side panel is closed, hold it in place and replace the screws.
4. Connect the fan connector to the top assembly.
5. Please the top assembly into position and give it a slight tap to lock it in place.
   • Make sure to tuck in any excess wiring.
6. Congratulations! You’ve finished upgrading your Corsair One and can now get back to gaming!
