This article will teach you how to upgrade the memory of your CORSAIR ONE system. These instructions are applicable for the i100-Series, a100-Series, and i200-Series.

Before you start upgrading, make sure to do the following:

• To avoid invalidating your warranty, make sure you use only validated parts when upgrading. This includes:
• Back up all your data before attempting an upgrade. Corsair is not responsible for any loss of data, damages, or voided warranties caused by incorrect upgrades.

Validated parts include:

• Corsair One 32GB DRAM upgrade kits
• Any Corsair 2.5” SATA solid state drives (SSDs)

Tools for upgrading

Before you begin upgrading your memory, have the following tools at hand:

• A Phillips-head screwdriver to access the CORSAIR ONE components.
• Some soft material, such as blocks of Styrofoam or a towel, to place the CORSAIR ONE on to prevent scratches to the chassis.

Part 1: Opening your Corsair One

The first step in upgrading is to open your CORSAIR ONE to access the components.

To open the CORSAIR ONE:

1. Press the rear release button and pull the top assembly straight up.
2. Disconnect the top fan cable and set the top assembly aside.
3. With the front of the CORSAIR ONE facing towards you, use your Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the left-side panel.
   • When removing the second screw, use your hand to hold the left-side panel to prevent it from falling after it pops open.
4. Place your CORSAIR ONE on any soft material nearby with the left-side panel facing up.
5. Carefully lift the left-side panel away from the CORSAIR ONE chassis.
   • You may have to rotate the cooling hoses connected to the side panel so that the side panel can be laid parallel with your CORSAIR ONE.

Part 2: Upgrading memory

When replacing DRAM modules, we strongly recommend using modules from a single kit for stability. Mixing separate memory kits may cause stability issues, even if the different modules have the same speed, timings, and voltage.

To replace the DRAM modules:

1. Open the clips securing each DRAM module in place.
   • NOTE: CORSAIR ONE PRO models use smaller SO-DIMM Modules.
2. Carefully remove each module from its slot.
3. Insert your new DRAM module with the module notch aligned with the notch in the memory slot. You will hear a click once it is secure.
4. Repeat with the other DRAM modules.

Part 3: Closing your CORSAIR ONE

Once you have finished replacing the DRAM modules, it is time to close your CORSAIR ONE.

To close your CORSAIR ONE:

1. Replace the left-side side panel of the CORSAIR ONE and re-secure the two screws.
2. Reconnect the top fan cable to the top fan assembly and feed any excess cable into the CORSAIR ONE chassis.
3. Place the top fan assembly back on top of the CORSAIR ONE, making sure to align the peg on the fan assembly with the rear release button.
