M.2 2230 SSD
Microsoft provides detailed information on preparing and replacing the SSD in your MS Surface system for each specific model. Please read and follow the instructions for your device.

Prepare your new CORSAIR 2230 M.2 SSD for installation:
- Remove the product label

- Remove the supplied thermal tape from the protective foil and transfer to the SSD, affixing it to the side containing the large IC components, following this illustration

- Discard protective foil and product label
General steps for SSD replacement:
- Precaution: take care to discharge any electrostatic charges
- Power down your system
- Remove the SSD slot cover
- Remove the existing M.2 SSD by unscrewing the screw
- Insert and secure your new M.2 with screw. Please care not to overtighten the screw to avoid damage to the drive
- Replace slot cover
- Connect the power cord and start up system
