Q: I don’t see my smart TV or streaming media player on the compatibility list, will K83 support it?
A: If the smart TV or device has an available USB port or Bluetooth 4.0 (or greater) wireless, and supports keyboard input, then the K83 may connect with at least partial functionality.
Q: Will my smart TV or streaming media player be officially supported in the future?
A: Additional smart TV and device support is planned and K83 is firmware upgradeable via the iCUE software (www.corsair.com/downloads).
Q: Why does a particular function not work with my smart TV or streaming media device?
A: Smart TV’s and devices conform to their own standards and use a variety of operating systems, unique commands, and device-specific application versions which may not natively support all product functions.
Q: Does the K83 Wireless connect to Roku devices?
A: No, Roku devices do not support HID input at this time.
Q: I’m having trouble connecting via wireless, what can I do?
A: Try using a different wireless mode to connect:
If you’re using the USB wireless adapter (2.4GHz mode), try connecting with Bluetooth wireless
If you’re using Bluetooth wireless, try using the other Bluetooth mode or plug the USB wireless adapter into the device if there is an available USB port and use 2.4GHz mode.
Q: How do I improve my wireless connection performance?
A: If you’re experiencing intermittent connectivity or delayed input, try moving other wireless devices including any wireless router/AP, wireless adapter, and other wireless transmitting devices away from the K83 USB wireless adapter or your Bluetooth connected device.
Q: Why can’t I type in a particular text field on my smart TV or streaming media device?
A: Some applications require the cursor or selection box to be in the text box for text entry or do not support keyboard input.
Q: How do I factory reset the keyboard?
A: Hold the ESC key while powering on the keyboard, then release the ESC key after 2 seconds.
Q: What does the F-Lock key do?
A: It reverts the F-keys to their standard functions (F1-F12) and changes the joystick to move the mouse cursor which can be used for games that support mouse and keyboard input.
Q: If I change the mode when F-Lock is ON, how do I change the F keys back to media and navigation hotkeys?
A: In iCUE go to the performance tab and uncheck “Swap F-Key Functions.” This allows you to enable two non-gaming modes, such as using media mode for PC and Samsung TV mode for a Samsung Smart TV.
