For ambitious systems that look as impressive as they are powerful, a full tower PC case is needed to house all your top-of-the-line components. With space for plenty of radiators, case fans, tubing, and more, a full tower case is perfect for custom liquid cooled systems.

What to look for in a large or full tower PC case

Consider these few things as you’re diving into your tower PC case search:

  • Size: Browse between full towers and the larger super towers.
  • Drive bays: Check to see how many internal drive bays are available, in 2.5 and 3.5 inches.
  • Component compatibility: Check whether your desired motherboard and power supply will slot in easily.
  • Radiator sizing: Make sure your radiator size is designed to fit.
  • Case window and design: Be sure to choose a case that speaks to you visually.
  • Glass panels: Looking to show off your build? Look for cases with tempered or panoramic glass.

Are large full tower PC cases worth it?

The question of what type of case you choose for your PC build is quite personal, and it relies on a few factors. First, full tower cases are massive, so you’ll need to make sure that your budget and your physical gaming space can accommodate it. Once that’s cleared, the space afforded inside by a full tower or the larger super tower case is virtually unmatched. This will give you the most space for cable management, radiator fans, drive support, ATX power supplies, and more. So, while you can certainly make a great PC in a mid-format case, a full tower PC may just give you the most options.
