The CORSAIR FRAME 4000D Series of cases makes an excellent home for a wide range of system types. As part of the FRAME Modular Case System, it offers numerous options for assembling a build exactly the way you want it, with a variety of aftermarket accessories on the way to augment what already comes in the box.
One accessory you might want, for example, is something to support your new, heavy graphics card to prevent it from sagging once installed in the system. Newer GPUs require serious cooling, which means these graphics card is packed with copper to help with cooling. That also makes them heavy.
There are a couple of ways to support your graphics card, you can either place a pillar under the front-right corner (being careful not to obstruct the fans) or use an anti-sag arm. The FRAME 4000D uses the latter and includes an anti-sag arm pre-attached to the Side Cable Cover. But what if you want to replace that cover with the Side Fan Mounting Bracket (which you’ll find in the accessory box), either for your AIO radiator or for additional fans to help improve airflow? That’s where the Mini GPU Anti-Sag Mount comes in.
This small accessory is also useful if your graphics card isn’t long enough to reach the default anti-sag arm position on the Side Cable Cover.
You can easily unscrew the anti-sag arm from its default position and attach it to the Mini GPU Anti-Sag Mount, which then mounts to the pre-threaded holes on the motherboard tray. Before installing, be sure the mount will clear any motherboard connectors, especially 90° USB and SATA ports, as these can obstruct the bracket.
If connectors are in the way, your best option is to drill new holes in the motherboard tray. Just take care to avoid damaging or bending the tray.
Once you're ready, secure the Mini GPU Anti-Sag Mount using the supplied 6-32 UNC, 6mm screws. Then reattach the anti-sag arm, slide it up to support the graphics card, and tighten it into place. Job done.
