The NIGHTSWORD v2 WL includes a dedicated Stream Deck Launch Button that summons the Elgato Virtual Stream Deck directly from the mouse. Virtual Stream Deck requires Stream Deck software version 7.0 or later and a supported device connected at least once in the past 30 days. The NIGHTSWORD v2 WL is a supported device, so a separate physical Stream Deck hardware unit is not required when using this mouse.

The Elgato Marketplace is a library of free and paid plugins, icon packs, and pre-made profiles that integrate with your favorite apps. For NIGHTSWORD v2 WL, you can download Marketplace content for programs like Discord, Photoshop, OBS, and more to assign powerful one-click actions to your Virtual Stream Deck. Each profile can be customized with unique icons, labels, and macros.

Optical switches use an infrared light beam rather than physical metal contacts to detect a click — the switch registers when that beam is broken. Because there is no metal contact wear or "bounce," optical switches eliminate the need for a debounce delay (which adds latency) and are significantly more durable. The NIGHTSWORD v2 WL's optical switches are rated for up to 100 million clicks.

The NIGHTSWORD v2 WL works plug-and-play out of the box with no software required. For customization — including DPI adjustments, macro creation, button remapping, lift-off distance, ripple control, and Motion Sync — CORSAIR Web Hub is available directly in your browser with no installation needed. Additional features are being added to Web Hub on an ongoing basis.

The NIGHTSWORD v2 WL is configured via CORSAIR Web Hub, a browser-based tool that requires no installation. iCUE is not required for this mouse. Web Hub allows you to adjust DPI, create macros, assign buttons, and update firmware, with additional features like lift-off distance, ripple control, and Motion Sync coming soon.
