GALLEON 100 SD: Understanding the LCD Screen and Dials

更新

The GALLEON 100 SD is a highly advanced keyboard that combines a premium typing experience with the power of a built-in Stream Deck. What sets the built-in Stream Deck apart is the customizable LCD Screen, two physical dials, and support for up to four dial actions. Together, these features deliver the functionality of a Stream Deck + within the footprint of a standard number pad, creating precise controls right at the fingertips.

Integrated LCD Screen

The GALLEON 100 SD features a fully customizable LCD screen seamlessly integrated alongside the Stream Deck keys. Using the Elgato Stream Deck App, the screen can be configured to display the current functions of the dials and other useful information.

Common display uses include:

  • System and hardware status
  • Stream or recording indicators
  • Application widgets
  • Custom graphics, wallpapers, or animations
  • Stream Deck actions and feedback

This level of customization allows users to tailor the GALLEON 100 SD to their specific setup. As long as the Stream Deck App is running in the background, the LCD screen will function and update in real time.

Tactile Rotary Dials

Just above the LCD Screen are two physical rotary dials, designed to provide a tactile and precise control experience similar to the Stream Deck +. With smooth rotation and clickable feedback, the dials give users greater control over their whole setup.

Common uses for the dials include:

  • Adjusting volume levels
  • Scrubbing timelines
  • Zooming in or out
  • Cycling through values or options
  • Controlling lighting brightness or intensity

The tactile feedback from both rotation and clicks makes these dials especially useful in fast-paced gaming or focused productivity sessions, where precision really matters.

Four Dial Actions

One of the most powerful features of the GALLEON 100 SD is its ability to support four dial actions using just two physical dials. By pressing and holding a dial for three seconds, users can switch between layers, indicated by a white border.

For example, a single dial could control both camera zoom (top layer) and system volume (bottom layer). When the white border highlights the top layer, rotating the dials adjusts the camera zoom. After switching layers, the bottom layer is highlighted, allowing the dial to control the system volume instead.
