From Project Obsidian’s all-new steering wheel design to TRZ motorcycle simulators, the CORSAIR brands bring new hardware, immersive cockpits, and a broad range of simulation experiences to Frankfurt.
FRANKFURT, Germany, October 16, 2026 – Fanatec and Trak Racer, both part of the CORSAIR family of brands, are showcasing an extensive range of new simulation hardware at SimRacing Expo 2026. Leading the Fanatec announcements is the first public appearance of Project Obsidian, an all-new steering wheel design targeting launch in 2027, while Trak Racer is presenting its expanding range of racing, motorcycle, truck, and flight simulators, including two TRZ motorcycle simulators.
Project Obsidian brings together technologies and design experience developed across generations of Fanatec steering wheels in an all-new platform. A 5-inch, high-resolution color LCD sits beneath a single piece of glass together with the RevLEDs and illumination for the rotary switches, creating a seamless central surface. The wheel also features RGB-backlit buttons and a strong all-aluminum structure.
Project Obsidian is the first Fanatec product designed with SimHub compatibility in mind, with detailed telemetry data transferred through USB or Wi-Fi. Its Wi-Fi feature is primarily for UDP telemetry, allowing maximum compatibility with console games.
The prototype is being shown ahead of launch to give the sim racing community an early look at the direction of the next generation of Fanatec steering wheels and to gather feedback during its continued development.
“SimRacing Expo is an opportunity for us to show where Fanatec is heading, as well as what we have achieved over the past year,” said Tobias Stelzer, VP and General Manager of Fanatec. “Project Obsidian is a good example of that. We know our community has been waiting for a Fanatec wheel like this, so we wanted to show it early, listen to feedback, and be open about the direction we are taking. At the same time, we are continuing to invest across the entire Fanatec ecosystem, with new products and improvements for existing customers.”

Formula V3 expands with Oracle Red Bull Racing
Also making its public debut in Frankfurt is the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing, an officially licensed steering wheel inspired by the RB22 Formula 1 car and celebrating 22 years of Red Bull Racing. Following the popularity of the Formula V2.5-based limited edition in 2024, Fanatec is responding to continued demand for another Oracle Red Bull Racing steering wheel.
Unveiled on stage by Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver and three-time F1 Sim Racing world champion Jarno Opmeer, the wheel is based on the ClubSport Formula V3 platform, combining a 2.7-inch white OLED display with revised ergonomics and controls. It features a forged carbon finish, including forged carbon components on the preinstalled Podium Advanced Paddle Module, and finished with the distinctive jacquard pattern that runs across the RB22 Formula 1 car. It is scheduled for release in mid-November 2026.
ClubSport Formula Cockpit comes to home users
Fanatec is also announcing an officially licensed Oracle Red Bull Racing version of the ClubSport Formula Cockpit. Previously used extensively in Formula 1 FanZone and Paddock Club activations and as the official cockpit of the F1 Sim Racing World Championship, it is currently being prepared for public sale. The revised design retains its authentic Formula-style driving position while improving adjustability, compatibility with third-party peripherals, and practicality for home installation.
Podium Pedals Sport available now
SimRacing Expo Frankfurt also marks the launch of Podium Pedals Sport, the most accessible entry into the new Podium Pedals range. The two-pedal configuration features GT-style aluminum pedal plates suitable for both left-foot and right-foot braking, together with the extensive mechanical adjustment of the Podium Pedals platform.
Podium Pedals Sport is available from the Fanatec website starting today, October 16. The pedals support the upcoming clutch module, and the carbon fiber components of Podium Pedals Formula, which will both be available to purchase separately.
Trak Racer expands its simulation lineup
Trak Racer is bringing an extensive range of simulation hardware to Frankfurt, led by two TRZ Motorcycle Simulators. Following the platform’s debut in Charlotte earlier this year, TRZ offers a distinctive approach to motorcycle simulation through passive mechanical feedback and a proprietary steering system designed to reproduce natural rider movement.
The lineup also includes a selection of officially licensed racing simulators, including two Porsche 91XTR Hybrid Simulators, the BWT Alpine Formula One Team TRA Hybrid Simulator, and the Aston Martin Aramco AMR26 Formula Racing Simulator. Visitors can also see a range of Hot Wheels-branded simulation products, including the HW5 Racing Simulator Cockpit, HW3 Compact Racing Simulator Cockpit, and HW2 Racing Simulator Wheel Stand.
Beyond car and motorcycle simulation, Trak Racer is showcasing the Airbus TR550 Flight Simulator, a dedicated flight cockpit designed around flight simulation ergonomics, and the TRK Truck Driving Simulator, featuring a new seat developed specifically for truck simulation. Additional products on display include a new white version of the popular TR160 Racing Simulator Cockpit and the heavy-duty TR200 “Tank” Cockpit, featuring an exceptionally thick aluminum extrusion profile.
More to discover at SimRacing Expo
New accessories for the ClubSport GT Cockpit are being displayed, including D-BOX mounting brackets, providing an approved mounting solution for the D-BOX G5 haptic actuators and planned for release before the holiday season 2026, and GT Cockpit Livery Panels, offering new customization options.
The recently announced ClubSport F1® Racing System is making its European public debut at the Fanatec stand. First revealed at Tokyo Game Show, the system combines the PlayStation-licensed ClubSport DD+ (18 Nm) with an exclusive Formula V3-based steering wheel and preinstalled Podium Advanced Paddle Module.
Across the exhibition space, visitors can experience the Fanatec ecosystem through a wide variety of configurations for PC, PlayStation, and XBOX, including Formula, GT, rally, karting, desk-mounted, and high-end motion simulator setups. This includes the upcoming PlayStation 5 version of BeamNG.drive ahead of its Early Access release on October 19.
With new Fanatec hardware launching throughout 2026, early previews of products planned for 2027, and Trak Racer’s expanding range of simulation platforms, the two CORSAIR brands are demonstrating their commitment to developing immersive driving and simulation experiences across a wide range of disciplines.
