iCUE Murals turns your entire desktop into an interactive lighting canvas driven by images, animations, audio, and real-time screen mirroring.

In the iCUE Apps ecosystem, iCUE Murals is a dedicated, high-performance application built to give you more creative freedom. Instead of locking all your gear into one global scene, the new Murals is designed around how people actually use their PCs, combining synchronized ambient lighting with focused, functional controls on individual peripherals.

1. Hover-to-Identify Fan Highlighting

Anyone who has built a modern gaming PC with six, nine, or even 12+ RGB fans, including iCUE LINK systems, knows the frustration of determining which physical fan corresponds to “Fan 3” or “Fan 7” on screen.

• Instant Visual Confirmation: Simply hover over or click any fan icon in the Murals layout sidebar, and the corresponding physical fan inside your PC instantly illuminates in bright white while the rest dim.
• Effortless Canvas Alignment: Drag and drop your fans to their exact physical positions on the canvas in seconds, matching your real airflow layout and orientation without trial and error.

2. Separate Effects per Device (Per-Device Playback)

Previously, adding a device to a Murals canvas bound it entirely to that single global effect. The rebuilt Murals gives you full Per-Device Playback:

• Mix and Match Styles: Mirror your display colors across case fans and desk lighting strips, while keeping your keyboard on a high-visibility solid color or reactive typing profile.
• Audio-Reactive Accents: Run a live audio visualizer on your headset stand and mousepad, while your PC chassis displays a smooth, custom color gradient.
• Granular Profile Control: Build complex lighting themes that combine ambient video backgrounds, static accents, and game-specific reactive zones in a single profile.

3. Built for Custom & Community Effects (Coming later this year)

Murals is now architected as an extensible platform. The new engine lays the technical foundation for:

• Custom User-Created Effects: Programmable custom-coded animations and scripted lighting effects.
• Community Lighting Packs: Sharing through Elgato Marketplace, creators and community members can publish and download unique lighting profiles and game-tailored animations.
