DDR5 Memory

Push the limits of performance with the latest DDR5 memory, available in a range of styles and optimized for Intel® and AMD® platforms. Take advantage of higher frequencies and greater capacities to make sure your system powers through complex tasks faster than ever before.

What to look for in DDR5 RAM

RAM has some important nuances that you’ll need to assess as your shopping for what to put in your system:

  • Capacity: The amount of RAM space available (measured in gigabytes) indicates how much your system can pre-load for heavy operations.
  • Platform Compactibility: Use our filters to confirm that the RAM you want works with your system (Intel, AMD, etc.).
  • Speed rating: Tested speeds measured in MT/s—the higher the number, the faster the operation.
  • Design: Some CORSAIR RAM sticks feature RGB lighting, while others are a little more barebones, visually speaking.

How is DDR5 different from DDR4?

Just like the evolution from DDR3 to DDR4, DDR5 picks up some new advantages that help to deliver an overall higher quality experience for your system. In general, there are two key areas of improvement: speed and capacity. DDR5 can support up to 6400 MT/s compared with DDR4’s 3200 MT/s max. You can also fit more storage on these sticks, with DDR5 supporting up to 128 gigabytes compared to DDR4’s 32 (so go for a 48GB model here on CORSAIR to maximize that increase). While there are a lot of other variables, these two factors contribute greatly to a more modern, more future-proof system.
